Fulham v Norwich City
Carrow Road

A win for Norwich assures survival, sending the other 3 clubs down.

Carlos Bocanegra will replace Liam Rosenior for Fulham. Andy Cole will have a late fitness test on his Achilles injury but Collins John is still out with a hamstring problem.

Norwich defender Adam Drury (hamstring) and midfielder Youssef Safri (groin) have both recovered. Goalkeeper Darren Ward is training again after a bad back and looks set to replace Joe Lewis on the bench.

Reverse Result:
Norwich City 0-1 Fulham (Dec 4, 2004)

................

South London Derby: Charlton v Crystal Palace
The Valley

Charlton may be handed a fitness boost with the return of Shaun Bartlett and Jerome Thomas after a knee injury and a virus problem respectively. Chris Perry is available after a one-game ban, Francis Jeffers faces a fitness test and Stephan Andersen looks set to be handed another start in goal.

Crystal Palace will be without suspended defender Gonzalo Sorondo for the south London derby. And Emmerson Boyce (foot) and striker Tommy Black (leg) are still sidelined.

Reverse Result:
Crystal Palace 0-1 Charlton Athletic (Dec 5, 2004)

................

Southampton v Manchester United
St. Mary's

Recent drama at United could spell good fortune for the Saints.

Southampton could put Dexter Blackstock and Kenwyne Jones on the bench to provide aerial options with Peter Crouch suspended. Kevin Phillips and Henri Camara will play up front and the back four will be unchanged, but David Prutton returns.

Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gary Neville are minor doubts for Manchester United, who are unlikely to take risks so near to the FA Cup final against rivals Arsenal. Gabriel Heinze (ankle) is definitely out and could also miss the Cup final.

Reverse Result:
Manchester United 3-0 Southampton (Dec 4, 2004)

................

West Bromwich Albion v Portsmouth
The Hawthorns

West Brom goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak is set to keep his place because Russell Hoult is doubtful with a groin injury. Kieran Richardson is set to return, while Richard Chaplow is also pushing for a recall after recovering from a knee injury.

Portsmouth add teenagers Richard Duffy and James Keene to their squad while midfielder Valery Mezague may feature. Lomana LuaLua, Patrik Berger, Steve Stone, Svetoslav Todorov and Vincent Pericard are all out with injuries.

Reverse Result:
Portsmouth 3-2 West Bromwich Albion (Dec 4, 2004)

well this relegation battle is nearly as exciting as the scudetto battle. although one is seemingly over this one has all the makings of a classic. i dont even want to predict who will stay and who will go!!

Well I hope Norwich win and send the other ones down. Fulham should just throw this game and play their youngins, they have nothing else to play for.

Norwich to stay!! (For the same reason as Shevchenko (H)) And also cus they have a very nice manager in Worthington. Have you seen him giving up throughout the whole season? NO!

I hope either Norwich or Palace stay. Either or. *hey...maybe if palace get relegated they'll sell off Johnson. Then CITY can get him! Weee!*

*wishful thinking, I know. :nape:

I hope either Norwich or Palace stay up. Norwich, because of the never-say-die attitude they had when survival was all but impossible just a few short weeks ago, and Palace, because Iain Dowie has done a helluva job taking the Eagles from Championship relegation candidates to where they are right now. He's my choice for Premiership manager of the year, even if the Eagles get relegated.

never seen this in EPL history.. final day still none of the bottom 3 has been decided yet.. it's anybody game.. more twist today then...

I would rather Palace stay up but they have a tough task in Charlton. I really dont care if Norwich go down really, partly because I prefer Ipswich Town and partly because they whupped our behinds.

what happens if Palace and Southhampton both win, Norwich lose and Palace and Southhampton end up with the same goal difference?

Either goals scored or a playoff.

norwich...to survive....johnson to arsenal (H)

Yeah and he can warm the bench as he'd be behind Reyes, Henry, Bergkamp (if he stays) and van Persie.

Wake up guys, we don't need Johnson. He's only good at putting away penalties.
