Prevent a team from promoting to the next division

Hi,

I'd like to know if it could be possible to do that at the end of a league.
I mean, I want to include the reserve teams in a two lower-level with others amateur clubs and to prevent the reserve teams from promoting until there's not a difference of 2 lower-level.

It doesn't seems possible to do that from CM08, but can we introduce a condition like that somewhere? Or is there something to do that could prevent FIFA from promoting a team?

Unfortunately I have no solution, but a function like that would be great!! :D Hope someone can make it possible! :)

Also it would be nice to ensure that a team belongs to a different region of the country (especially in the lower leagues, where you have two or more leagues on the same level (e.g. in Denmark where we have a third league divided in a east and west region).

Yes, it is possible! :)

Go to the tournament menu, and then create your reserves league. Just do not link it with the other league, then they'll go nowhere! :)

Yep but I wish the amateur teams could be promoted and the reserve teams couldn't whereas the both are playing in the same league...hehe

By cheking the database I found entries like these:

move_from_rtsgt = 52428819
move_to_rtsgt = 52428819
qualify_from_rtsgt = 52428818

The 2 firsts are always the same whereas the last changes when a team has been promoted I noticed... I'm gonna try to change somethings and see what it gives but I don't see any other way. Or maybe it could be possible to include a sort of "If reserve_team is-promoted Then don't-promote" somewhere (Y)

The last solution I see would be to run an external program that modify the database at the end of a season to keep the teams in the same division.

If the budget is too low, that can prevent the team from promoting ?

If nothing is possible the only thing is to modify the database with Internal Master for example...Just have to change the ID and that will change their standing, or doing that with Manager Master.

I don't see where's the problem. If you create 2 leagues and just qualify the first and the second of each one for the second league you'll have 4 qualified teams.

Hmm.. interesting idea... would be nice if the only thing you had to do was to set the reserves teams budget to 0 or something very low :)

Well, the problem is not with the promoted but the relegated teams... where will they go? in the east or west league?... another problem is that if for example three west teams and only one east teams gets promoted, but two of each gets relegated it would f*ck the system up... so as I think you are saying you would just have to accept the fact that the east and west teams will be more and more mixed as more and more seasons are played...

:-/
