According to retail store Game, the next Pro Evo (pro evolution soccer 7) has finally cancelled out Fifa's trump card - Licences.

The store manager showed me the documnet which they recieve to push pre orders, showing information on the biggest games upcoming in 2007.

Among reading through i come to Pro Evo and the following was on there,

All international teams fully licence, F.A premier League licence, German League licence and international cup competitions licenced.

it also stated the its was to be released on Wii, PSP, DS, 360, ps2, PC and PS3. strangely the PS3 version was listed as Pro Evolution Soccer 7 '1st team edition' and had alot more features and modes listed than any other version.

Quick note, there was no Metal gear solid 4 scheduled, HALO 3 was down for September 26th, Heavenly sword was down for Sep 26th.

Let's wait to get some official infos......

But I expect the game to kick asses after years where they just put few tweaks here and there.

Rumour is that the ps3 version will be better, I think it might be indeed true.

i hope the ps3 version gets what it deserves.

According to a Konami insider, the forthcoming PS3 version of Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007, will have a massive quality gap over the Xbox 360 version.

It will also be running at 60 FPS, have online play and take up over 18GB, no doubt making full use of the enhanced capacity of Blu-ray.

The news came from a forum post on the Japanese game site Ruliweb by an apparent Konami employee who is a team member working on the soccer game. Still this is very much a rumor at this moment.

I hope that includes a UEFA CL license...

I can't find a reason why there isn't even a "fake" UEFA Champions League in PES6.

If so, they'd better make CL-esque scoreboards and ingame graphics. The PS3 version will be unpatchable.

I can't wait till August when the ingame videos start pouring in :)

New licenced leagues sounds good but the fact is Konami has done such a crappy job with PES for the last two years that it's not enough if PES7 is an evolution since the game needs a total REVOLUTION to be taken seriously. PES6, for me as a PES fan, is simply a crappy game. It has nothing new compared to PES5 (even the graphics are basically the same). Still Konami had the nerve to demand full price for it. PES6 should have been a free update patch if anything.

After hearing that PES7 is going to have a new engine I hope it will be much more than just glittering graphics which don't mean much if the game sucks. First they should get rid of the cheating CPU and with this I mean letting the player actually play the game and not just watch a demo. If cpu wants the ball it takes it no matter what you do and the most ridiculous feat, supercancel won't do anything. The other great thing is that the player attributes don't mean anything when played against the cpu. No matter how fast your player is the cpu defender will outrun him. Realistic as hell. Haven't played FIFA 07 but if PES has advantage over FIFA with better feel of control as I've read, it must mean FIFA 07 is not a game at all. It's 2007 and it should be perfectly possible for Konami to make a game that is genuinely challenging and not this cheating crap they've put out for the last two years. :boohoo:

The new competition licence is a good news too and I hope it means we can play the CL like it's supposed to be and not a world cup with club teams. Both home and away games. And the possibility to make new players, new teams and new leagues shouldn't be too hard to make available. That way the simply unplayable Master League could be even remotely enjoyable. :nape:

The real question is does Konami even want to make a really good game since it makes it harder for them to improve next year. :jambo:

Over to you ladies and gentlemen... :mrpimp:

Licensing is the last thing Konami should be concerned with. For once, I couldn't care less. I really hope they use a new engine for PES7.
