Problem with AFS-Explorer

Hi,

just downloaded the SouthAmerica-Patch and the AFS-Explorer 2.0.

now i want to open the data_e.afs, but i get an error message:

Coherence error: Overlapped file(s) found in descriptors!
AFS file is corrupted!
Do you want to load it, anyway?

[yes] [no]

any ideas?

Same here.

It asked if i wanted to load anyway, I pressed yes, then patched it.

Then loaded PES3, all is fine. :ewan:

Sincerely, it's a miracle the game works fine after patching an AFS file loaded that way :o

You get that coherency error 'cos you are loading the original WE/PES3 image without having the option "Ignore descriptor's length" enabled.
You have to enable it and load the AFS file. No warnings should appear.
Then use the "Modify reserved space" option and press "Regenerate" button. You'll now obtain a fresh new AFS file which can be loaded having the ignore descriptors option disabled.
I recommend to keep this new AFS file in a safe place and use it as the base AFS for all patching works.

Check "ADDENDUM" section at AFSExplorer documentation for more information about the process and why it has to be performed on WE7/PES3 AFS files.

Have a nice patching! :mrpimp:
