Problems with another patch

That error is because the program cant open the dat or big files, and its related to FIFA 2004 path.
to fix :
Move FIFA 2004 to c![:\](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/vb/fslash.gif ":\ :\")
so it is cFIFA 2004
then go to this registry entry ( using REGEDIT.EXE
):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA SPORTS\FIFA 2004
edit the key Install Dir with CFIFA 2004
Then install the gameplay patch , it should work without problems , also at the controller program have to say "Detected FIFA 2004 folder : CFIFA 2004 or CFIFA20~1 "
Once installed you can run cfifa 2004\fifa 2004.exe and try it.
( the links at Start menu \ EA sports \ wont work so thats why you gotta run the fifa2004.exe directly )
If that doesnt works then try removing the space between fifa and 2004 so it should look like this :
cFIFA2004
with :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA SPORTS\FIFA 2004

the tip MUST WORK once you have the patch running maybe you can try leaving fifa there or move it back to program files , or try different locations until you happy with it
