Has anyone ever complained about the dreadful pop up and pop unders that appear when accessing this site?

Its hardly conducive to the subject or the likely underage visitors to this site for pes players.

Today in fact the pop ups take over the whole site and instead of being able to surf the pes stuff, my window was hijacked for some XXX rated Italian adult site and an attempted download of a dialler to access!!! It opened in the same main window and the proevolution site was closed altogether, so today its 100% inaccessable.

If you access this from work or uni or college etc you can get in trouble if sites are logged in a proxy or websense checker etc.

Leo, the site owner is himself only 14 or so, I think adult pop ups on a site of this nature and subject is totally unacceptable, what do you all think about this?

Its a real pity too, as Leo's site is probably one of the best and carries the best content so far for PC PESers. I don't want to see these adult sites popping up, and I wouldn't like my under 16's viewing it either.

www.proevolution.com is therefore banned in my house until this issue is resolved.

Im using Mozilla Firebird and site has no pop ups as they are blocked.

Suggest using a diff browser as imo IE is just plain crap.

I told Leo about it first way before xmas as it had xxx pop ups and pop unders all over the page which really took away the pleasure of visiting it. Leo said he didn't intend for it to be xxx pop ups but had contacted some advertising company so he could get some income to pay the hosting etc. He said he would take care of it but I guess not...

I have pop-ups on my site to help pay for the bandwidth but I wouldn't ever stoop to the xxx stuff, there's no excuse for that trash popping up. I'd rather pay the extra money to host than subject people to that poppoing up in a household with kids in it.

Secondly, when I deploy the pop up blocker, it stops access to the site entirely, its a real nasty piece of scripting on that xxx site indeed.

It should not be appearing on a non 'adult' site like a football gaming one, these advertisers should be aware also that Leo himself is only 14 and take that into account when feeding ads to his site.

Anyway, rant over, back to the PES3 :)

All my brothers [I have 3] play their PES3 on the PS2, whereas I play both PS2 and PC version. They all swear by the PS2 version as they have huge TV screens and the like and can sit in the lounge with their beers and so on.

However, when they had a little go on my PC version during the week, I have 2.53GHz and a Radeon 9600 Pro 256 on 19" screen set at highest res and detail, and they were all stunned by its looks and clarity compared to PS2.

Of course is also helps when I have the master patch installed with the proper kits with sponsors and so on, as well as a new ball.

However, I have just had a thought, maybe some of you guys will know the answer. I have TV out on the Radeon, if I were to divert that to my 30" TV would I have the same detail but larger on my TV or would my TV reduce the res and refresh rate so that it wouldn't look any different from the usual PS2 version?

Tell me the GOOD news and I will go out later today and purchase the appropriate cable.

I'm thinking of doing the same actually. I do have both PS2 and PC version though I play the PS2 all the time (I got the PC version for free anyway, konami sent it to me) because of my widescreen TV and because I don't have a controller for the PC (yet). But I was thinking of playing the PC version on the TV thus being able to use real kits, flags etc. to make it more authentic.

And for the record, Leo is a good guy. I know he wouldn't put up xxx pop ups on purpose, just hope he fixes that coz, yes, it is annoying and inappropriate for underage kids.

Looks like this may be a goer then, I will be in the cable shop tomorrow anyway, since I cut a SCSI cable on my server tonight by accident and have to go and get a new one.

I think they're quite cheap in the UK too, for once in our lives UK buyers can get something as cheap as you guys in the US :)

I will let you know what the result and res and speed etc is like once I get it set up then :)

I was wondering when someone was gonna bring this up, I too think he should find a new pop-up, I don't like that xxx stuff, but if you get a pop-up blocker you wont see it again, I use yahoo's toolbar and haven't seen it since I got it....

Also, everytime this xxx site would appear my Virus s/w detects two infected files.
Just a headds up for those without and virus checking s/w.
