yes they do sing god save the queen and a bunch of other british bullsh!t but i have never once seen an english flag at ibrox. most common is the union Carlos then some N. Ireland flags.

Celtic are even worse....

Based in Scotland, claim to be Irish, and want to play in England. how f*cked up is that?

meh. i detest u both. u both ruin the SPL it could be amazin without u. the country only has a population of 5 million and about 70% of the football fans support the old firm. imagine how good it would be if it wasnt for glory hunters...massive crowds :(

oh well.

To be fair, I have not actually seen many St George's Crosses both at Ibrox or when Rangers have played away, but then again it's so easy to confuse with the RHoU flag from a distance. A fair amount of Rangers fans do sport England shirts/baseball caps to games though. That is undeniable.

Celtic fans.... I'm only human. I don't have words to sum them up. :(

Celtic admit there Irish heritage and are pround of that. The huns always try and deny the love england and wish they were english.

It's nothing to do with wanting to be English.

Rangers are proud to be BRITISH which means an allegiance to the monarchy, hence the God save the Queen.

Also quite a lot of Englishmen go up to support Rangers.

Yeah, but for every Sellik fan who makes his way each weekend from over the Irish Sea, there are at least 10 malnourished tinkers whose excuse for singing ditties like Boys of the Old Brigade, PI-PI-PIRA etc. is because their granny's cat's vet's postie's tax collector's neighbour's gynaecologist's butcher's son's girlfriend's Geography teacher's electrician's binman once drank a half pint of Guinness.

Celtic's paranoia is amazing too. (H)

Aye Celtic fans are worse ... HAHAHA!
You'll not see any Nazi salutes at Celtic Park!
And why is it so hard to understand ... The majority of Celtic fans are of Irish descent. We have more right to wear Ireland tops than most of the Irish national team. ( My mum's from Cork. ) Don't see too many people in the UK complaining about British born Indian, Pakistan or West Indian cricket fans waving their flags. No, but wave an Irish tri-colour at Parkhead and you are automatically labelled an IRA supporting scumbag.
Funny that innit? Yet nobody seems to mind Liverpool or Man Utd fans carrying them, maybe it's just an anti-Celtic thing? Maybe I'm just paranoid?
A paranoid Celtic fan ... Nah!!!
(Oh, and just for the record, you'll see just as many Saltires at Celtic Park as you will at most other SPL grounds.)
The tri-colour is the flag of a sovereign nation, not a terrorist organisation. There is nothing sectarian about it. Jesus, it symbolizes peace between Catholics and Protestants.
As for the Old Firm dragging Scotland through the mud with sectarianism ... I guess you all sit with your fingers in you ears at Tynecastle, Easter Road, Fir Park, Dens Park ... The list goes on. Sectarianism is not only at Ibrox and Celtic Park!
There's bigots everywhere ... probably a few on this board.

How about IRA sniper gestures? Bang! Bang! indeed. ;)

My maw's from Sligo. Next I'll be leaping round in the bogs! :nape:

I don't get it though, this phenomena of people clinging to a foreign identity their ancestors had... I mean, why? Being Irish is hardly a glamourous nationality, nor is it all that much different from being Scottish or British in terms of popular culture... hmm, weird. Perhaps GAA has massive appeal? Or does the tapping of the bodhan have them all flocking? Sadly, about 4 folk in Scotland have heard of both. If you know your history, as that Celtic song goes, Irish and Scottish people over time have cross-migrated for hundreds of years and are therefore almost inseparable in heritage. :)

It seems to be a central feature of 'Irish' folk to make out like they're heinously persecuted wherever they go in the world and generally have a big greet at life. Christ, they may even be bigger whingers than Scottish people! My maw is still bitter about a 'NO BLACKS, NO DOGS, NO IRISH' sign she seen once 25 years ago. In fact, wasn't there a protest march by some organization about the poor treatment of Irish citizens by the Scottish authorities prior to the last Old Firm game? Haha, absolute pish. (H)

Yes, that's because we all live in Swaziland.

Hullo! Hullo! (H)

Touché my friend :ewan:

Although to be honest, I haven't noticed any sniper gestures at Parkhead, but then again I don't think they'd be aimed at me :)

I find Celtic alot more sporting than Rangers.
Rangers dive, get goals which should NEVER have been (Ayr got ROBBED in a Cup Final), spit (hello Amoruso) and get away with murder.

I agree Honest Man, the infamous penalty incident which ultimately gave them the SPL winning points tally at Tynecastle in March... I've never been so f*cking angry in a LOOOOONG time.

However, I am proud to report of some well-aimed projectiles which banjoed some of the bald, fat, short knuckledraggers from our end. (H)
