A taller player and a shorter player don't see the same thing when they see a ball in the air. A ball high enough for a short player to head might be nose level with a taller player, meaning he has to go with his foot.

His foot goes up, the short player goes to head the ball, they collide. Happens alot, and most times, it IS an honest mistake. It just so happened that this time it hit his throat.

more than likely an accident. can happen suprisingly easily, specially if some of the smaller players are brave.
