well the question is what if the wait is worth it? i mean..if i do buy one of the two, i'm still not shoure which one...

I'll probably go for the 360 now. By the time the PS3 will be "fully functional" (when it has reached it's full potential considering it's spec's and when the good games will be out), the price has probably dropped to half of what it will cost in March.

Damn, Sony! :(

It won't be, and especially with it being priced at £425 on it's own in the UK, that makes it even worse. Trust me, there will be virtually no difference between the 360 and PS3.

Good thing I live in the US....anyway I already have a 360, but I'm crazy so I need a PS3 to make me feel whole. I just signed up for a credit card with no interest for a full year, so getting a PS3 will be no problem financially. This may be a good solution for those of you like me who can't afford to add $700 to your monthly expenses. I'm sure it shouldn't be too hard to find a credit card that offers no interest for a whole year.

the BIG thing is games, i mean two of the most important tie-breakers for me are FM2006 and PES, and both will be on 360..but Sony still keep exclusiveness on GTA and Gran Turismo...so i really dunno:(

only 400,000 units available at launch in the US & Canada ??

Imagine the long queue gamers from one store to another. :(

I'd still want to have a PS3.

But hypothetically, will it make a difference if I buy my PS3 from Norway or from the USA? It will be region free anyway, right?

Yeah, that sucks. Supposedly it's still more than the 360 had at launch.

At least a part of the worldwide PS3 production will start in Porto in the following weeks. An ex-colleague of mine started working there this month, so I'll likely get first-hand news regarding the production kick-off.

I'm not waiting until next year anyway, so it'll be 360 for me as well. (Y)

Some PlayStation 2 or PlayStation format software titles may perform differently on this system than they do on PlayStation 2 or PlayStation systems, or may not perform properly on this system. In rare instances, CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs and other media may not operate properly when played on the PS3 system. This is primarily due to variations in the manufacturing process or encoding of the software. For more info, visit www.us.playstation.com.

Is this bad for PS fans ? Seems Sony are uncertain/unsure about fully backward compatibility PS1/PS2 games from different regions. :jambo:
