Punching the referee!!

who remembers when you could punch the referee in fifa '96?
i think this was on the sega megadrive. after fouling someone you could punch the referee and run away, he would chase you for however long you would run, and when you stopped he would book you. that was the most fun i ever had on a fifa game .

now they have ruined it. no more pushing and shoving like the good old days

I think EA have rose above that childs play to more realistic football.And also because of Referee's rights!!

Talking about punching.. the weirdest moment on fifa was when I was playing FIFA 2000 one game i was bored so I slide tackled the goal keeper a couple of times I think with my 3rd or 4th slide tackle the goal keeper charged at me and had his fist in the air it was an inch away from my players face he had the most angry expression on his face lol and the game froze was it a joke by one of the producers???

It was on pc too. at least running away from the referee.. in the original Fifa soccer..
