Qualifying for Europe BUG!!

I've played 4 seasons with Leeds Utd.

Season 1: Finished 6th and qualified for UEFA Cup - Correct!
Season 2: Finished 4th, won League Cup & FA Cup- and didn't qualify for any European competition!!
Season 3: Won Premiere League, qualified for Champions League - Correct!
Season 4: Won Premiere League & Champions League and just started season 5, where I'm scheduled to play in the Inter-Toto cup!!! What the f***!

I was using v4.01 up to start of season 3, where I've been on v4.04 since.

Do I have to start a new game to eradicate some of these bugs or something?

I love the game and am a great CM fan but these errors is really pissing me off.

You have to restart.

Well because there are changes in the database, the game you've already started will have that database saved into the game data

And you will have to start a new game when EP3 is released
