I'd rather play with 10 men and without a goalkeeper than have Ricardo in goal for the selecção ever again. The sad thing is that he really is the best that we have in that position. He has been capped more than 80 times, yet he is so f*cking mediocre. Let it be known that he is the reason why we failed to complete our objective.

Well, that and the fact that nobody else in the squad can play at Cristiano Ronaldo's level, but that is something that can wait for when we fail to qualify for the World Cup.

Cristiano didn't play well that well today. Very disappointed in Portugal, to try so hard only to lose by free kicks is kinda ridiculous.

Perhaps if the game is changed to allow for 2 referees, these pushing calls will not be missed. The referee was out of position and was never going to call a push on Ballack, from the angle he was in. Having said that, Ricardo was COMPLETELY out of position himself.....

For all their attacking, Germany didn't create as many chances as I thought they could. Portugal were clearly the more aggressive team and created many more chances than the Germans....never thought it would be such a large difference in total shots. Ronaldo, Costinha and Pepe ALL missed chances to score what should have been easy goals...particularly Pepe(2nd half header from point blank range) and Costinha (1st half before he was injured).

My only question is: where is Cristiano Ronaldo when we need him?
He disapeared of the game after the 3-1...

He was doing average at best could've done better, but in the secound half, he vanished 8|

basiclly like i say he isant all that good, he feeds off players he don't make things happen

anyway, i won money with germany so im feelin good :)

Oh well, what can I say?
I'm wasted. And sad. It was quite unfair imo.

Scheowernweqonoans once again, only again Portugal. 1 goal and 2 assists, he shouldn't even be playing. Germany did half of Portugal shots, less possession, less corners. Oh whatever.

Portugal did a great match midfield and attack. Bosingwa and Pepe were very good. Ronaldo wasn't at his best, too bad...Nuno Gomes and Postiga were nice. But Deco is god, ouch. What a match from Deco!

Bad points. R.Carvalho, that wasn't him. Very bad, looked out of the game and stupid in marking. Petit didn't look him as well, wasn't pressing and covering spaces like only he knows. P.Ferreira sucks, period. But Ricardo...that third goal is totally his fault. A GK can't get out the keeping like that. Very sad, I just hope he gets out of there quickly. Quim and Rui Patricio deserve the chance, and Ricardo should never come to the squad. NEVER.

Anyway, I'm sad, but congrats to Germany, and I hope they win the Euro. They look good.

Maybe WC 2010 is ours, let's hope!
FORÇA PORTUGAL!

Hahahahahahahha, yeah, Moutinho is whom I meant.......

Jorge Costinha's name just popped into my head for some reason. I think it was because he looks a bit similar to Pepe/Bosingwa............

Yeah, that's right, he's quite similar to Bosingwa.

And btw, we lost Euro 2004 because of Ricardo. And now this. Someone please, take that guy out of there.

Wow. I did not expect that.

Not because we lost, but because, again, and as always, we played better than the opposing team and lost nevertheless.

1st douchebag's goal: Ferreira and Ricardo are shyte.

2nd douchbag's goal: Ricardo is kind of shyte, our defence is shyte.

3rd douchebag's goal: Ferreira is fouled. The referee is shyte. Ricardo is shyte. Yet Ferreira is also shyte, he could've gone down.

Ronaldo can go back to Manchester or Madrid or Madeira or whatever until he decides to man up when he's playing for Portugal.

Ferreira can go **** himself.

Ricardo...I've had enough with Ricardo. One chance, two chances, three chances, four chances to redeem himself over the course of this 5 and a half years. Why does everybody else get stuck at one?

The refereeing was pretty bad, he had a hard time showing the cards for the Germans, yet everytime a Portuguese player touched his opponent he whistled and waved the yellow.

All in all, we played much better football than them, the only thing we did wrong were those crosses, those ******* crosses to the german's area which lead nowhere.

This is all I can say at the moment, and I reckon it was a lot considering the state I'm in.

Oh, Deco is the player of the tournament, I don't care how many Sneijders or Villas you throw at him, he is the player of the tournament.

I think your analysis is pretty accurate though I don't think our defence is ****, I mean except for Ricardo and Ferreira, like I'm saying from day 1 and I guess everybody can see.

But in the set-pieces the problem is how the coach positions the players, what instructions does he give them, where to go, how to do the covering. Like I said, man-to-man marking in defending set-pieces isn't used in top teams since like the 60s.

And yeah most people will go for Snejder or Villa or Torres or whoever but Deco really shown a tremendous display in this Euro, not being biased.

Nah, may make the top 3 but someone from the winning team or finalist surely :)

Deco has easily been portugal's best player. hes been nothing short of majestic his passing, vision creativity has been awesome. i though he was finished looking at him for barce, hes clearly class and you will need someone like joao moutinho to replace him hopefully for 2010 or maybe 2012 if he still has it at age 33 ???

Pepe and Bosingwa has also played great. But what annoys me is that its CLEAR AS DAY Scolari dont like Quaresma. they simply dont see eye to eye, clash of personallities it seems, hes better than simao, maybe not a smart thats why simao plays but you could've done with quaresma out there today.

lets hope his replacement actually likes quaresma

Dude, only you and like ten other people like Quaresma.

Also, I didn't say Deco was going to win "player of the EURO", I said he is the player of the tournament.

Well Portugal looked like the more offensive team because it was they who were chasing the game from the starting whistle. Germany within 10 minutes had 2 goals, so no wonder Portugal were forced to apply more pressure than Germany needed to. That will always give the impression that the attacking team are dominant.

Germany were in fact the better team today because they were in control for most of the 94 minutes, whilst Portugal were forced to play catchup.

I thought the refereeing was fair for both sides, although I was surprised that Ballck got away with that simple shove for his goal. Then again Ricardo's indecision was more to blame.

Ronaldo once again the big game bottler. No surprises there. Deco was awesome. Yes I would take him at Chelsea with pleasure,if he wants to come. He will ignite the EPL no doubt. Boswinga was very good too. Very unusual game from Carvalho. He had an off day as he would usually stifle anything thrown at him.

Still, Portugal never completely give up. Most players gave it everything until the final whistle, and that has to be admired. So, hard luck Portugal and well done to Germany. Very good game to watch as a neutral.(Y)

I'm not going to argue about this right now, but let's just say that what you've said is the exact reason for him not to be a good player
