Hello
wondering even after 9/11 in Us, have any States people gone overseas to watch matches?
I have always wanted to visit Rotterdam, and maybe catch an Ajax match or two.
I believe the Dutch are fine with US ppl but i know no dutch lol......English wlould be an option to communicate with ?lol

I just want to see the sights, visit the "coffee shops", and maybe catch a few games and return home.
From what i've read about dutch folks is.. they are easy going people.(even the ones who weren't on their third 'space cake' munching.(yummmmm space cake.....)
ANY Rotterdam ppl or other ppl that have visited here/liverd here care to share info? (ts cool, youll get shot.. dont do it... youll never leave n live here, etc.) pleae advise who can.
Thank you for your time.

Wrong forum, this is off-topic stuff so it should go there.

Anyway, dutch (or any other european country for that matter) won't lynch you, don't worry. Most people may not agree with your fucked up goverment and policies but you won't be lynched or whatever:D

Why would you want to watch crappy dutch football anyway, go to a premierleague game or something instead.

Hehe
Thanks for the responses.

Why choose to see Ajax over any other European team?

No reason now really... am a Zlatan fan, but i want to consume mass amounts of Amsterdam's 'finest', and i have no idea on the 'policy' anywhere else in Europe with herb and how European govts deal with it.... in states it's illegal duh... but i know it's 'tolerated' in Holland....

Ya sorry this is very *OFF TOPIC*
Thank you for the input though.

Zlatan is in Turin now dude . . . :(

I was in Europe last summer and everything was fine. Yeah you catch **** about the government but I think Bush is the worst president in the history of the country so that didn't get me in trouble. But it had better be OK for Americans to go to football games, I'm saving up to head to Germany for the the World Cup.

It has been a dream to watch a live European match for me for well over 10 years now... i will be going to Holland.

I know Zlatan went to Juve, wonder how they will fit him in the lineup with DP, Trez. Nedved is OMF/AMF role?
I will surf the net for info, was just curious.
Thats fine if i catch sh1t for being an American, i will not be running around in tourist clothes announcing 'Hi! I am from the States!'
No way, jose.
I just want to see it live... flares, chants, soccer skills, and be a part of it live. I am missing out.
I did not go to any matches in the states when some teams came here for 'exibition' matches... i wanted too sooo badly.

Thanks again friends that have replied on this topic.

Lived there for 12 years. One of the greatest countries in the world. It'd be the greatest if it didn't rain so much. :(

Anyway, always make sure you get tickets before you go there.

Yeah I agree with that I wouldn't let too many people know you are American it might be ok in England but in other EU nations it might be enough cause for a butt kicking...especially if you run into any political hot heads...
