Question about Loans

After many restarted manager modes, am I wasting my time with loaning my players out? Does it do anything other than get his game wages off my hands for half a season? I mean, to me, it would be much easier for me to just sell some of my older players like wes brown or silvestre just so people like pique and bardsley can stay. If I loan pique and bardsley then they will just sit on the other teams bench, no matter how crappy a team they go too, so in my opinion it would be just as easy to have them sit on my bench not playing and not gaining any experience even if i dont sell any of my older players. I'm just asking if there is any benefit from the game if i loan my players?

Arguably, yes. It depends what you are trying to achieve. Personally I see two advantages to having a player that isn't ready to play regularly out on loan - I don't have to pay them, and their morale isn't affected by spending time languishing in my reserves. There is no negative effect on their development, but loaning them out does take them out of the match XP system, so they won't grow over and above the default. Of course, if they are riding the pine then the likelihood is that they won't be gaining any match XP anyway, but there are often games where you can give such players a run out and therefore give them a potential boost.

Yeah I had the same problem, and then I see Liverpool buy Ronaldinho and he is on the bench when I'm playing them. Thats just not right. Why buy him and not have him start.

Loaning players out increases their morale special if they young and get game time.
