Question about stadium editing

I have a question for the editing community as a whole, and hopefully someone can help me.

I have installed the city of manchester stadium and during cutscenes the pitch is littered with "texture missing." Mind you this is only during cut scenes becuase when im actually playing, there is no problem.

During some searching the interweb i came across this in the breamster forums, which is the exact same problem that i have. its located here:

so then the problem becomes wtf is he talking about polygons? Where did he remove them from? And how do i go about removing them myself?
