Question: Customising teams in the Master League

Can anyone tell me if and how to customise what teams are in which division when you start a new Master League?

In PES, you could select which teams started in Div 2 and which in Div 1. Now that we can edit the team names and strips in WE6, I wanted to change all of the clubs to Scottish ones but start off with all the rubbish teams in Div 3 and all the better teams in Div1. But it doesn;t seem to give you the choice :(....unless you go and edit all of the teams AFTER you have started a new Master League !!

Am I missing something?

Doesn't all the stinky teams start in the third division by default? Take for instance Aston Villa and make them Stenhousemuir or any other quite poor Scottish team, and it will take Villa's place in Div 3.

yeah, I've just being playing around with it tonght and the same teams are always allocated to the same division every time. This is good news actually as it means that the Div 3 teams are generally not as skillful as the teams in higher divisions. So Div 3 games are a bit more scrappy than Div 2 games and Div 1 games are more silky soccer....I hope.

In PES, it was a bit strange when you could have all the best teams in Div 2 and the worst teams in Div 1.


But it does mean that I have to recreate Rangers and Celtic as Div 1 teams (because they are automatically Div 2 teams). Nothing's ever simple with th WE6 editor...I wish there was an easy way to copy entite quads of players to a different team.

Yeah, I know, it's really weird in a way. When it comes to these kind of things, Konami has always been miles behind Fifa. And there's always the argument, "they focus on the gameplay", but really, if the idiots that makes the utter crappy Fifa series manages to make a good editor, the Konami guys should be able to as well.

And why not make like a huge player/team database and make the game(s) available on DVD's that can hold a lot more information. Since they're allowed to use the player stats from the CM series, and since an amateur has already made an editor that can transfer info from CM to PES, why not do it? Combine the managing of CM with the gameplay of WE6, and boom, you got yourself one heck of a game. ;)
