i'm working on a patch for the euro 2008 game. editing that game is quite easy, the files are 99% the same as in fifa 08.
but there's one issue that makes me go crazy! Some games of the groupstage of the Euro tournament happen in the wrong stadiums.
i've tried to correct that, but thats not easy.
i've nearly tried everything, but i can't find the file(s) which link the stadiums to the specific games!
I'll try to explain the problem:
for example group B of the eruo tournament contains Austria, Croatia, Germany and Poland.
the games of that group take place in two stadiums: Ernst Happel Stadium (Vienna) and Worthersee Stadium (Klagenfurt).
all games of the Austrian team should take place at Ernst Happel Stadium.
But EA guys confused these two stadiums. so all three games of austria take place in Worthersee Stadium instead of Happel Stadium.
i don't have an idea of how i can change that!
i've tried to solve that by changing the id's of happel and Worthersee Stadium in the database (the fifa.db is named dbase.db in Euro 2008, but it's nearly exactly the same as in FIFA 08) table_stadiums. but that has no effect! austria plays still in klagenfurt instead of vienna!
also it's not the table_finalstadiums: NONE of the 8 euro stadiums are in that table!
further there is no information about stadiums in the tables 'rtsg' and 'team_lookup'.
So where does the game define in which stadium the specific games of the groupstage take place?
in "normal" tournaments in FIFA 08, Champions' League for example that stadium problem does'nt exist. the games of the Champions' League take place in the home stadiums of the teams.
but the games of the Euro tournament don't occur in the teams' homestadiums!
so somewhere the 8 stadiums MUST be assigned to the 4 groups!
but where??
