Just need a quick question answered then feel free to close this post or book me or whatever. Used the forum for max views...

I'm going to the Spurs - Man U game tmoro, and I was wondering whether I am allowed to bring in a Video Camera (quite small).
Or will it get confescated till after the match or something?

Thanks

they wont search you, and as long as you dont make it obvious you have it, by holding it high ect, you should get away with it

Strictly speaking its not allowed, unless you obtain prior permission [and pay a feckin huge gratuity] from the club.

Technically the stewards can order you to wipe the contents if you have recorded any and to switch it off. They could even eject you from the stadium if you refuse.

Also, if you manage to get away with it and smuggle your video out and you then post any of it in a public place, like on a web site for instance or public broadcast, the club, the Premiership and even the FA would be able to sue you!!

All cameras including stills and recording devices like microphones are all barred under the commercial contracts the clubs and the Premiership has in place.

If you think about it, we could all go to our fav clubs, take snap shots and videos and make merchandise like calendars and posters and try to sell them etc. This is why these rules exist!

So like the guy above said, if you don't make it too obvious and don't get searched on the way in, you can probably get away with it.

Lots of people do it, you can see all the flashes going off whenever a team scores or there is a major incident at a game.

Its a bit harder to catch a guy with a flash camera that only flashes for half a second, than it is to find someone standing blatantly video-ing the match :)

I'd say i had Player Cam. I was level with the players.
I just looked up and the steward shook his head and finger:kader:

I hung my head...
(whipped it back out at Full time though) :p

I took in a digital camera to Chelsea Southampton Boxing day Last year and stewards saw me and said nothin. Unfortunately no goals and only real chances were blocked by Gallas with two mins to go.(blocked his own teamates.)

The rules are that you can take a small camera for personal use, you cant take big ones with long lenses as they hit people on the head!

I saw arsenal once, last season at old trafford, they weren't very good i'm afraid, scholes and veron scored, it was two days after my birthday!

I try to be neutral but my wifes a big united fan so I had to go, arsenal are a good team, but when they're not playing well, they're worse than united when united aren't playing well
