So I decided to finally put together a European XI team. I decided that the rule was for every country to have at least one representative (although if there's no one even remotely good than none), but no more than one. So even though some nations could dominate the team, the idea is to create a balanced squad with the best player from each country. Of course, it's subjective, and the team could have been completely different. For example, I was sure I'd use Lahm, but instead went for Ozil (although it could have easily been Schweini, Muller, or any of their mids) but wound up going for Hummels because he complimented the rest of the XI better. Similar choices could have gone with Pepe and Ronaldo for Portugal, Kompany, Fellaini and Hazard for Belgium, Cole and Rooney for England, etc.

Anyway, here are the chosen players:

GK: Handanovic (Slovenia), Cech (Czech Republic), Aouate (Israel)
RB: Piszczek (Poland), Ivanovic (Serbia)
LB: Cole (England), Alaba (Austria), Rat (Romania)
CB: Papadapoulos (Greece), Hangeland (Norway), Chygrynskiy (Ukraine), Kompany (Belgium), Evans (Northern Ireland), Hummels (Germany)
MC: Modric (Croatia), Sahin (Turkey), Fletcher (Scotland), De Rossi (Italy), Kvist (Denmark), Cana (Albania)
AMC: Hamsik (Slovakia), Iniesta (Spain), Gera (Hungary), Hleb (Belarus)
ML: Bale (Wales), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal), Ribery (France), McGeady (Ireland)
MR: Robben (Holland), Shaqiri (Switzerland)
ST: Berbatov (Bulgaria), Jovetic (Montenegro), Ibrahimovic (Sweden), Dzeko (Bosnia), Mkhitaryan (Armenia)

Which would line up like this:

Bench: Handanovic, Piszczek, Bale, Papadapoulos, Evans, Sahin, Kvist, Hamsik, Ribery, Shaqiri, Jovetic, Dzeko

That's not really an European XI, a real one wouldn't have the limitations you put. It's pick a player from every Euro nation and come up with the best team XI.

South America is interesting. There are so many options for the forward roles and so little for the rest. Anyway, decided to go with two options, because I think both Falcao and Messi merit inclusion, but they're a bit mutually exclusive.

Notable omissions include Cavani, Luiz Suarez, Pastore, Higuain and a few more guys.

So these are the 3 main sides for the All-Star competition, I think it would be interesting to see, any bids on winners? Europe would take it, for me.

The South American Team looks Superior compared to the other teams Messi + Neymar + Hulk awesome oh and why Modric ? Why not Xavi ?
