I thought he was good when I first saw his highlights, but that was what they were - highlights. When you see him play(I saw him play against Mexico in the Olympics) he looked pretty horrible.

How much Lars Bender is worth? I haven't seen him myself but if he is a B2B ball winner with good lungs then we should be in for him. And Demba Ba is unsettled at Newcastle-he has a 7/9m buy out clause-strong,fast,finishes and has pretty good technique.

I don't think he'd be that expensive, around 15m and it's still a lot of money for a player like Bender.

He plays at Leverkusen, not Freiburg. Transfermarkt says he's worth 15, which I'd agree with, but price is always higher than that unless a contract is running out or you play at a bankrupt club in Spain (all of them except 3).

Before Munich bought Martinez, they also took a look on Bender. He has contract until 2017 and they didn't sell.
Leverkusen didn't sell Schürrle für a 30 milion offer by Chelski. If you want to buy Bender now, take more than 25Millions.
