So I was wondering like, why is it that some of my players' physical stats drop off rather markedly as opposed to others who seem to maintain theirs at a good level? What is the value that determines this, if any? I have players like Alonso and Pennant, first team regulars, whose physical stats are affected after a period of time, while others who are on the fringes like Malbranque and Nolan maintain theirs throughout the season even if they're hardly getting any playing time. They're all on the same training schedule btw.

Playing players out of their primary positions will hurt their stats, especially if they have low versatility. I think it could also be that the fitness level of the players causes a drop. Not the same as condition, it's a hidden variable.

I've always played Alonso as DM and Pennant as RW, also there isn't much age difference between malbranque, nolan and alonso. My guess is their Natural Fitness stat? But even after editing that to the max (along with their mental stats) it's always the same players whose physicals deteriorate markedly. They've stayed injury free and also morale has been superb/very good all season.

Edit: I'm halfway through my second season.
