Yep thats what they had to say but hey thats what we have come to expect from EA, I think its time for a new engine or something that will change the game completely cause it getting boring and I think in the end after all the copies of the fifa series we have all bought we at least deserve that?

Anyway check it out for yourself and this is the PS2 version they are talking about not the PC, but im sure the PC version will be similar.

well i looked at the screen shots and they totaly looked way different than fifa 2000. and where did they say that it is similar to fifa 2000.

With FIFA 2001 on the PS2, the rosters have been brought up to date for the 2000-2001 seasons. What else has changed? FIFA 2001 has quite a few gameplay tweaks which makes for less frustration. For the most part though, it feels the same as FIFA 2000, with MUCH better graphics (and little slowdown) and current rosters

well sip i read it, and my understanding is that the rosters have been updated for the normal season 2000/2001 which is this season's challange. it does not mention about the game itself, well it looks alot different than fifa 2000. you know what rosters are right? if you don't know let me explain it to you. rosters are like the ine ups for each team. so by that sentence the line ups are updated for the fifa 2001 game, like for example hakan sukur from galatasaray player is in inter milan not in galatasaray any more, so you will see him in the inter milan line up. the rosters for fifa 2000 was based on the 1999/2000 season. do you understand?

but thanks anyway for that site, it game a chance to look over screen shots that were taken from a long distance camera.

benfica i know man, a futbol game should be slow passed game, futbol is defenetly not hockey. only hockey games should be fast because they are skating. i wish they have made the pitch larger and also slow moving players on the pitch, that way it will feel like a real game.
and also when a player is injured the ref should stop the game and take the player out or something like that and have a chance to change the injured player with another player just like in the real game.

Thanks for the hint man but man I dont need you to explain it to me Ive been round a long time enough to know what an updated roster means, but thanks anyway, all im refering to is the part where it says For the most part though, it feels the same as FIFA 2000 thats all, in that statememt they are refering to the game itself it has nothing to do with rosters.

o ok budy, i understood you now. sorry about the confussion.
you might be right about it. but i still think the game looks very smoother than fifa 2000, you might think the same way as i am thinking, i have voodoo 3 and it is going to be amazing. but i still don't like the part that the game is faster while playing. it should be slow because it is not a hockey game, it is a futbol game. right? they shoould make the futbol pitch larger too.

Its sounds like they are reffering to a title released a year ago. Could Fifa 2001 for PS2 really just be FIFA 2000 for the PC. I mean they even talk about a new feature where the player traps the ball before it goes out of bounds. This is an old feature now.
