Rafael van der Vaart scored 5 goals in 5 matches in a row now!!
They compared him with van Basten several times today, they say he's not a talent but a PRO and a GREAT FOOTBALLPLAYER and ain't that the truth.
Man he chipped the ball like Cruyff did in his early years and the goalkeeper made a fingertipsave by tipping it over the crossbar.
van der Meyde was awesome as well, amazing goal too, he outplayed the goalkeeper and tipped the ball into the right corner.
The score should've been 9-0 though, with balls against the crossbar from Galasek and Witschge but the result never the less is fantastic.
Ajax is number one in the competition because P$V lost against Feyenoord with 1-2.
Ajax is ready for the 2nd round of the CL, they play out of their skulls right now and are hungry and eager to come very far.
YESSSSS, be ware Valencia cause Ajax is in topform and they prooved that today!

About comparing vd Vaart with Kezman:
1. van der Vaart was injured for a long time, so he was not able to score then. Also, after coming back from an injury and playing like he does is sheer class and Kezman doesn't come even close to that ( sorry savo )
2. How many chances did Kezman need to score 13 goals? I bet van der Vaart has a much better average in finishing chances.
Proof? In the champions league Kezman did get lesser chances as in the Dutch competition and he missed almost everything; he probably does not respond too well under real pressure.
Van der Vaart did score in the champions league....

If you are fair, you have to admit that you simply can't compare Kezman with van der Vaart. Is not fair to Kezman too!

What do you think after this week? First we're out of European football, and after that we lose from Feyenoord! I'm much frustrated yes!

And you're right that you can't compare Kezman with v.d.Vaart, because v.d.Vaart has more talent. I must say that, frustrated or not, I will stay realistic. But you can't also compare that to players, because those are 2 completely different players. v.d.Vaart is your "number 10" and Kezman is our striker (a striker who miss a lot of chances yes). And yes in the CL he missed a lot of chances, but that we're out of Europe isn't because Kezman failed, our whole team failed, inclusive Guus Hiddink.

But I only say that 13 goal out of 12 goals that the numbers look better --> 12 out of 13 = 1,07 goal per match.
5 out of 5 = 1 goal per match

Van der Vaart has a much better in sight than Kezman Nistelgoal, he's a kind of player that could become well be the new van Basten if he continues like this. I'm happy that he will stay for 1 or 2 seasons in Amsterdam cause a lot of great European teams want him but then again who can blame them.
In the last season Kezman didn't score either in Europe, not only this year. The Dutch competition is much easier for scoring chances (look at Ajax yesterday) but Europe is a whole different story and that makes van der Vaart a much more complete player in my eyes, he creates much more chances and.....finishes them almost everytime. His technique is better than Kezman's too.

Everyone in Holland and other countries are lyrical about van der Vaart why...? Because he scored in 10 minutes time after his injury against Lyon and that's quite an achievement and....he created the chance himself and that's something i see Kezman rarely do. This is not an Ajaxfan talking but reality and you know it if you look deep inside. I'm not saying that Kezman is not a good player cause he is and the goal against Feyenoord was a 100% goal but hey, so was the goal by van der Vaart against Inter in the fifth minute, damn referees nowadays

I agree with u 100% Mish, when van der Vaart leaves Ajax next year or the year after that he MUST go to Manchester United, that's my second favorite team, 1st is AJAX naturally.
I would love to see him play together with Ruud and i bet that those two would play brilliantly together too.
