No one's saying (at least I hope so) Podolski is wordclass like his partner upfront Klose. He's yet to play a season consistently on a high level. The fact that he's already moved to a big club shows that he doesn't fear competition, in fact he's very ambitious.
I wouldn't call him average though. 20 goals in 35 appearences for the nt at the age of 21 speak for themselves.

He's definitely one of the biggest prospects in world football, that can't be denied.

Germany was so lucky, the result could've easily be the other way around.

Just joking guys, good job. ;)

I doonno if this has been mentioned yet but, San Marino apparently have only ONE professional player who plays in the Italian 3rd division. Not a bad result for a bunch of amateurs against the 3rd place team in the WC

Funny how only Italy fans are complaining about Podolski.. Honestly I'd take him over Luca Toni, Inzaghi, Gilardino or Iaquinta any day.

That's exactly what i meant, and i was given for dumb bu the 'smartest' fvck on the forum. :ewan:

As far as calling the result 'not bad at all' well thats being a little too nice, i recon is a new european record for goals conceded at home so yeah it is a horrendous result.

Take it easy now, Podolski can get there but not there yet. Toni has been a goal scoring machine for two seasons now and he has done this at teams that are not so dominate in the league ( Palermo and Fiorentina ). Inzaghi...used to be really good and he still is, scored today. Gilardino, dont know what happened to him but he was a machine at Parma. Iaquinta, well he is not so great. TBH He kind of reminds me of Torres...

And don't tell me the Argentinians are better then the Germans, football doesn't work like that, when you have equal, or closely equal skilled teams it is anyones game, so Brazil could beat Germany, then Germany could beat Brazil. But as for San Marino, it wasn't there day, even if they are just one of those minnow teams that never improve. and for Podolski, he is getting in-form, and when he is in-form he deserves the hype he gets, but he is young and inconsisent, but will improve, and I think by the end of his career he will be as successful, if not more successful then Gerd Müller, Jürgen Klinsmann, or Rudi Völler, I hope.

I'd say both teams are at the same level although Germany performed way better at the last World Cups.

That's not necessarily a good thing. :(

Nah, he's not up there yet. At the moment Klose easily tops all of those guys anyway.

yea klose is one of the best strikers if not best at the moment. he has a high work rate and he is also creative when it comes to play making. i guess that makes him a centre forward?
