Anyone know if Dani for Athletico played?
No he didn´t play!
I wish he did! I was expecting much more from him since he was NT youngster! Did u remenber him when he played for Under-21 NT with Beto, Nuno Gomes? what a player he was!!!! But he seems that he'll always be a playboy and not a football player!

Dani hasn't even been on Atletico's bench in ages! I don't really understand the coaches decision never to play Dani since he was a key player in Atletico's promotion to La Liga from the second division. Wasn't he also voted the club's most important player by the fans recently too?
It seems like the only person in here that commented on Figo's game was INFESTA.... And it was a negative comment!
Its time to give Figo some credit. He is restoring his form, and damn he looked awesome last night, he WAS Real Madrid. shinji and INFESTA, you know Figo played brilliant. I bet you, you 2 guys wouldn't be so mad at Figo if Portugal won the WC. He played like the classic Figo sunday, and his performances have been improving. Give this guy a chance. On form he is EASILY the most dominating player in football. Man U have been in talks with Madrid about bringing Figo to Madrid, but Real wants to keep him (about a month ago they were offering him around).

I think when you compare the 56 million bucks Barcelona got from selling him, it almost seems as if Madrid were cheated. Sure Figo CAN play well, but he just cracks under the spot light. After being voted world footballer of the year, he literally fell to his knee(Injury). I'd love to see him play well, but even then I think the Portuguese National Team has way too many youngsters who are already better than him to keep counting on him. For the most part Figo is inconsistant. At least suck or be good full-time.

I see that Hibic played the whole game for Atletico, can anyone tell me how he played, did he do any mistakes and stuff??
Hibic played really well i thought. He has the build of a really good centre-back and could do well for them. I am not that clued up on european football but i am begining to enjoy it.
That madrid derby was a great game. The Passion from the fans were unbelieveable. You would think it would keep the real madrid fans quiet when their rivals go one-nil up and then have one more player on the pitch!! But to be fair to them the Real fans were excellent - they got right behind them!

I also wouldn't be so mad at António Oliveira if he wasn't crap. But he is.
Now Figo is good, but he's nowhere near the Figo I used to watch every weekend, in the late 90's. Come on, he can't pass anyone to save his own life! Geez, back in the day he was literally unstoppable! Didn't matter if he was being marked by 1,2 or 3 defenders: he had the confidence and talent to cruise through them all!
Now I think he's still a valuable player, and this last game proves it. But he used to be the kind of guy who was super regular, and now he only has a good performance once in a while.
He still has a place in the NT, without a doubt. You can't thow all that experience away.

Fack him. He's a sad bastard and I don't even have pity for him. A guy with his talent, that wasted it all due to his constant misconduct... Come on! He was more focused in his "modelling" career, his nights at the in pubs, the autographs for the 16yo girls that constantly surrounded him than he was on his game. Bad luck, Dani, you have to work hard, no matter how much talent you think you have.
Here's a good example to all you kids out there, who want to be football stars: this guy could have had it all and now he's a nobody, and he's the only one to blame. He was given all the chances in the world: played in Sporting and in Ajax, 2 of the best footballing schools of the world, also played in the EPL and La Liga, and nothing. Screw him.
Figo is playing better than last year but he is not and he won't be anymore the player he was in Barcelona. In the derby he missed a pk but Raul missed some chances even easier than a pk, so Real Madrid supporters should blame him and not the referee.
About Dani, he was playing last year in 2ª division but now Atletico bought half-Milan (Javi Moreno, Jose Mari, Albertini, Coloccini) and other good players so he must give more to enter the field. I don't know him too much but he seems very worried about his look so maybe you are true about him.

I'd rather get FIFA world player of the year, than not getting the credit I deserve at Barca. It's fans like you that give footballing a bad name. Lemme guess you threw a bottle at him at the game right?
