USA 2-0 El Salvador. It was an ok played match I guess. The weather conditions and the pitch were pretty bad so the sides made the best use of what they had. Olsen got the USA's first goal in the first half which came after a nice cross from Klein. Sasha Victorine got the second goal in the 60th minute after a beautiful set up from Mathis. When his head is in the right place Mathis is a class player. He had several nice moves tonight and a couple of great shots which were stopped by the Salvador keeper. The defense looked a bit tense but some of these guys were getting their first tastes with the national squad. Tim Howard seems to be the future at keeper. Overall a nice match I enjoyed it. Can't wait for the training camp in January and future friendlies.

A very good match by a highly inexperienced US MNT. Mathis, Olsen stood out with solid performances while Donovan, Victorine, Klein, Barret were also impressive. Howard made a serious case for the #1 spot in the future. Defense did good overall. Other than that horrible screw-up in the opening minutes, they shut down El Salvador completely. Offensively, everything was working fine. I know it's just El Salvador but that was a US team with 2 regular starters and the fans in the stands were mostly pro-El Salvador so it's a good win. The future looks bright for the US MNT.

I watched the match here in Detroit on ESPN and it wasnt a bad performence by the USA. Taylor Twellman wasnt impresive at all tonight, he didnt get no chances. But the highlights surely was Mathis and Victorine, well at least to my likings. Donovan wasnt that bad either, but the other goalscorer Olsen he didnt impress me that much, not even his goal. But i dont know if that was a qualifying match, a friendly match, or what it was... BOSNIA LIVES FOREVER!!!

It was a friendly... you didn't like Olsen, really? I thought he and Mathis were the two best players on the field. Olsen ran out of steam in the second half but he was excellent in the first, both on the offensive and defensive fronts. Very impressive for a player recovering from injury.

Everybody got its own point of view, but the way Olsen plays its like a middle class player, unlike some other top class USA players. The way he played yesterday, every run he makes it looks on TV like hes struggling to catch a breath, like he was dying...

Olsen has been injured for the better part of 2 years now. So you have to excuse him if he struggles to catch his breath after a few hard runs. He's only 5'8'' 140lbs but plays twice that. He had a lovely game yesterday.

Hey #1 stunna we should celebrate somewhere dog, its our 100th post, of me and u haha... and to Caponedawg, Olsen may be a GOOD player, which is not so bad, but USA is a big country with many talents, and it certanly has many better players than OLSEN, believe me i traveled from east coast to west coast all on soccer tournaments and i know a class player when i see one. I seen better high school players than Olsen, and some other players in US national team.
