rain and players

I think there was a thread about this once, but no answer.
Whenever I play a game in the rain, the players (and also the flags) appear only as unrendered shapes.
Is this a graphics card problem (I have ati radeon 7000), or is it correctable?

I have a ABIT GeForce4 MX 440 and the game runs perfect !!!

I have to say, the game runs perfectly in every other way, until I played my first game in the rain!

no one else had this problem?
I end up having to miss many home games during the season if I play as man utd or arsenal! My players have become mere shadows of their former selves!

i think theres a patch to snow.

Yeah, I got the weather patcher, but it doesn't change the weather in many of the real stadiums...
