Rangers v Manchester United [P] + [R]

It was a solid display by United.

It was nothing spectacular, and even Neville's goal was scrappy and soft.

But when United don't play well they scrapped. While Rangers had the better of the possession in the first half and created chances, they didn't create anything too clear cut and relied on corners for their real chances. United also had their share of chances.

In the second half United came out dominating play, and should have added a second. Rangers eventually came back to it and had chances to equalise, but except for maybe two of them none were clear cut once again. Scholes being brought down was one of the most blatant penalties I've ever seen, but somehow Frisk missed it.

A good 3 points to take home.

I think the reason the ref didnt give a penalty because scholes was brought down by berg who used to play for united.. :p

he is improving all the time and he never gets frustrated for when he is usually on the bench, and when he is in the team he works 100%.
he is dedicated to the club as well. any club would like to have a such all round player as him.

this is one in the eye for all the neville haters out there.

yup. with the neville brothers, you know what you're gonna get out of them every week. they bleed for their team, and any team would love to have them go to war with them.

When I say you people, I mean the people that constantly haggle others because of what team they support! I know it's your opinion and as a human being you're entitled to that, but think of this: circumstance. Not everyone can be born in Manchester or Glasgow. Not everyone has the money to fly to Manchester or Glasgow to fully support a team. Does that mean that they cant enjoy a foreign league, and follow a foreign team in a foreign league? So because I live in New York I musn't watch the premiership and forget all about Man Utd and just stick to the MLS? That's such Archaic thinking, it's like the segregation principle, every kind stays with his kind. So if some fans in China decide that they want to support Celtic, will you rebuff them and say stick to your own league in China because you're not Scottish?

EDIT: And I want to say thanks to shokz.:) He's really been nice enough to make video highlights for us when he didnt have to. Cheers!

m8 its just a typical celtic fan trying to get some attention. just cause his team got beat by 10 men for the past erl shall we say 70 + mins.

varga shoots AND HE MISSES FROM 3 yards.

Scholes and butt should have both seen red for those shocking tackles. kicking a keeper in the face then the other at the touchline with ricksen (had a kick at him). i saw the game cause i was at ibrox.

The Red Devil
Arveladze is fucking good. ;)

Quinton Fortune should be more careful, he put his foot on one of the Rangers guys knee when he challenged for a ball which went out for a throw-in, could've did some damage there, luckily it wasn't serious.

I don't think Scholes did anything that badly. It was definitely a stupid challenge, and deservingly he got a yellow card. As for Nicky Butt, that was a typical stupid thing for him to do and he probably deserved to see red. I'm glad that he didn't though. In the same way perhaps Henning Berg should've seen red at the end because he brought down Scholes when he was clean through, but not even a penalty was given.
