RANGERS Vs. Bunch of Pros (Everyone in Toronto read!!!!)

Guys....Rangers have been having practices every day at Varsity Stadium (U of T........around Bloor and St. George) to prep for their July 12 friendly vs. the Croatian champs at Skydome (ehem.... i mean Rogers Center).

Today (the 9th) they will be playing at 6 PM vs. a bunch of Pros from many nations. You cant go in to watch but can watch it through the fence outside (it's gonna be packed)

Yesturday my boss went at 10 AM and it was packed with people watching. I went at 6 with a friend and they trained and played a game together. After the practice, I took like 4-5 pictures with the players. Awesome bunch of guys.

It was hilarious as like 7-8 Taxis just showed up full of Scots sporting Rangers jerseys. I'd say like 30 ppl were at the 6 PM practice. (They actually let us in to watch it right beside the field!)


Really funny part was when a Defender was shielding the ball from a forward so the Keeper could pick it up.........but he (the keeper) just stared at him.

So he's like
"Keeper!"
(nothing)
"Keeper!!!"
(staring at him)
"F*CKING KEEPER!!!!!!!"

Everyone started to laugh (coaches too).

hahah i went yesterday morning and it was awesome. there was more than 100 people watching for sure. i got to meet all the players and get pictures+autographs.

Dado Prso is crazy. right in the middle of a piggy-in-the-middle drill he starts singing a song in Croatian at the top of his lungs lol.

Haha, Kyle that's awesome. Probably a dream come true for you. I hope I get a chance to meet all the Bayern players one that.

... and hahaha at Prso... I really wonder what song he was singing. If I was there I'd start yelling at him in Croatian telling him break it down or something. Prolly get a good laugh out of him. ;)

I took like 4-5 pictures with the players on both days (barely managed to get into the game cause they stopped letting people in)

All I have to say is that Prso is a really funny guy but the coolest guy on that team had to be Alex Rae. Wow. This guy was so fan friendly...what a great guy. (Y)

Ill post the pics up later today.

why dont it surprise me that the gers are playing on the 12th, maybe they'll have the flute bands out in force lol ;-> Good to see that people are going to see them though, I guess the local zoo must be closed.!!!1 :lui: :rockman:

based on what? have you ever met him? Alex Rae is great. at both the training sessions and the game i went to he hung around to chat it up with the fans, take pictures, and sign autographs far longer than he needed to.

bizjer they're playing on the 12th cause its the MLB all-star game and noone is using the SkyDome. it was the only date available.
