Nope, you can still get tickets for Good Vibrations, which is where Kweli is playing (it's about 100 bucks though), Common is playing in Melbourne on the 28th of Jan from memory, tix only 50 bucks, and De La are coming at the end of Feb I think - 55 bucks.

Hilltop Hoods bringing out a new album soon too - it's a good time to be a head in Australia.

Get yourself a Culture of Kings CD, it's a comp record, I think there are about 3 volumes out. All local stuff.

My favourite local stuff would be Downsyde, The Herd, Muph and Plutonic, Funkoars and TZU, stuff like that.

Apparantly they never even got paid by the record company for this album, so now it's online and free. Oh, and thanks Shinji for posting about this album earlier or else I never would have heard this legendary album.

hey no prob, my favourite hip-hop album ever... and one of the all time best ever too, IMO. The other half of Binary Star, Senim Silla (I think more talented than One Be Lo, his flow on the 'Slang Blade' track is awe inspiring) has a solo album in development, supposed to be "revolutionary" according to him. He had his own forum up for a few weeks at www.senimsilla.com but it's been down for like a week now. Should be back soon, it's cool because he actually posted there regularly, check it out when he's back. (I'm there as K/Strut, btw)

that free album is wicked though, gotta love the underground, eh? OBL could have been a greedy **** and still charged for the download, that's some real sh!t..

hehe, yeah I'm not sure what to make of that story... I thought it was true at first, but he doesn't seem to be hiding too much. Someone posted asking about that at his forum, but he never replied to the question :confused:
