After listening to the album for about a week now, I gotta say Nas is back. It's not a classic but it's pretty damn good.

Pretty much all the tracks people listed here are good. Haven't seen anyone mention You Can't Kill Me though. Don't sleep on it, It's like some grimy '95 ****.

Oh and what's up with Snoop? His first decent verse in a loooong time(Play on Playa).

I'm amazed that there's a Nas album with no real must-skip songs. Usually there's at least a couple of tracks with rubbish annoying production and meh lyrics that you always skip to get to the good stuff. Nothing's standing out as particularly great so far but there isn't a bad song on the whole thing IMO.

I can't believe Ghostface dropped two albums this year. Fishscale is fantastic and now I'm excited to get More Fish.

Hip Hop is Dead is pretty good. For the record, the last song on the album with Game, is pretty damn good. I have SOME hope for The Game's future now if he can get back with Dre.

Fishscale is probably on my top five list for the year. What a ******* album, man.

I don't know much about The Game other than his **** with the G-Unit, but after hearing this track of his on that highlight video, I was like "WHHHOOA....NICE"

By any standard, I don't care what type of hiphop you're into, that's a ******* HOT track, man.

Nah man, all non-American rap sounds corny-ass to me. There are some pretty good Japanese producers/DJ's, but that's about it IMO. Even like 99.9% of Canadian hip-hop is lame..

Every time I hear rap in like German or Russian, it sounds like a joke....like it's part of some SNL skit or something

riggghhtt, like 2Pac and The Game never talked about their money, cars, and bitches, etc...

the subject matter isn't the problem, aside from political hip-hop, rap has been about boasting and self-promotion ever since the begining, that's fine.. it just becomes garbage when some rappers do with crap beats and rhymes that sound like they were written by a 6 year old.

Chamillionaire is one of the best freestylers on the planet, possibly THE best. Not only can he come up with stuff instantly, but with him a lot of times you can't even tell that he's just making it up as he goes because he's flowing so naturally. I'm definitely excited for this, thanks for the reminder. And you can't beat the price, so if it's anything like the second half of Sound of Revenge, no biggie.
