I played it too short too vote (I dun have PS2 and I rarely play with my mates who have it) but from what I could see and feel I would give it 8/10 (H)

9/10 for me..

Reason why I dont give it 10 is because the players are made from paper, they stumble over far too easy.

And when you walk into another player he falls and its a freekick.

And the shots, I have played probably about 6 hours of WE8, and only scored one goal with just a normal shot off the ground, its impossible. Maybe if every single shot wasnt directly hit at the keeper more would go in, even when you run up to the keeper and side foot it, it still goes right towards the keeper.

All my goals are from crosses, which might I add, are absoluely amazing.

I'm giving it 10/10 coz it's the best f u c k ing game ever. The graphics are top notch - everything from high poly player models, stadiums to unbelievable to pitches. Every stadium has a different net that not only doesn't look the same but also react different than other nets.

The number of new animations is jaw dropping! There are different crossing, passing, running animation for different players. The ball physics are the best ever. The ball bounces a lot and is heavy like it should be.

Today I've hit the best goal ever!

I had the ball from a cross hit Castello in the chest and bounce fly into the PK area. He got to it, put his foot out and shot! The bounce off the ground and goalie defelect it... Barota got it, divin header, goal!

The amount of freedom in this game is ****in amazing! The ball isn't stuck to the feet. You can easily steal it off another player. There's just so much shlt you can do with it...

ML is off the hook. Everything else too - the cut scenes, edit mode, ref on the pitch, etc.

Oh, and kingpun, to shoot hard to have to hold R2 and press the shot button. Now there are 2 kinds of shots.

I'm giving it 9/10 I like the game but the slowdowns in the penalty area during corners have got to go! I mean we had the same issue last year Konami should have done a better job at testing the game. During corners the game gets so slow it's annoying. But other than that the game is great!

Yeah, the slowdowns can be annoying but for me, it's not a reason to -1 from the final score.

I'm sure they'll be fixed in PES4 and then in WE8I for which by the way, I can't already ****in wait! HEHEHEHE. :mrpimp: :rockman: :hump:

This game is only gonna get better. (H)

Yeah I hope you're right man. I can't wait for PES4 for the PC the graphics on PES3 were awesome specially on my 9800 pro :D but now that I played WE8 I can't go back and play PES3 anymore lol

Im not giving it a top rating because of the slowdowns, very annoying! And that fake lighting is so ******* unnatural, what the hell was Konami thinking of giving the players artificial lighting. And one other thing I don't like the speed in the game, it's too fast. And where the hell is Online play?!

So Im only giving it a 7/10, because I know Konami can do better, and I'm pretty sure that they'll do lot better with PES4 & WE8i.

Getting rid of the slowdowns is no problem on Xbox and PC, making the speed slower is an easy task, they have talked about Online play in PES4 and bringing the game to Xbox indicates that they'll bring the game online!

If the above thing are fixed in the newer versions, then the game surely does deserve a 9/10 or 10/10 rating.

I gave it 8/10.
The negative things which made it not a ten are:
Gameplay:
Bug in the long high ball ( O ), which sometimes goes in the wrong direction.
Slow-down in the penalty-box.
Dribbling unrealisticly easy: (I passed two man with a defender with poor dribble-stats!) It was perfect in WE7Ij.
Teams
Teams not updated, as ever.

...and I should keep room to give it a 10/10 if all weak points are out AND on-line gaming is implemented :)
...else I should give it 11/10 :o :rolleyes:
