Sound
Fifa 2004 has very little changes to its sfx to its predecessors, like fifa 2002 and 2003, the sound are very much the same. Some new crowd effects but very little.
However commentary was not available so that’s another aspect.
2/5
Very dull…nothing exciting here
Graphics
If PES3 had the graphics designing skills of EA, it would be the best soccer game eva! EA delivers crisp real life rendering of individual players, stadiums and kits…shame to player modeling animation though… a mark off there
4.5/5
Updated graphics make this game on top with its graphical realism.
A sure perfection by EA’s graphical staff
Animation
Running still looks weird to me
Tv like animation don’t look like tv at all.
2/5
Graphical perfection put down by lousy animations
Kits
Looks rushed and untidy… is this it?
Menu
The same damn annoying lame music again!!
Thank god for third party music changers!
Menus feel let down with uninspired music and sounds. Menu feels simple dull like 2003… simple and hazard free to any newbies.
Moving pictures is the way to go
2/5
Nothing-new here, just the same old picture menus…
Tactics and Strategies
“This is football 2003 wannabe”
1/5
“really original” if you think about it. Good for internet/multiplayer, no need to pause game to look at tactics
Gameplay
Much more realistic one off passes. Fifa 2003 tackling models removed simultaneous tackling replaced with a retrofit fifa 2002 tackling model. Ball psychics still a priority with EA.
More realistic tackling from behind or side…still looks unrealistic but improved
3/5
if I were them, I would of stuck with 2003’s tackling model and improved it from there. Or not?
Overall
EA has produced a great game, however nowhere near perfection in all aspects
I’ll rather spend more time on gameplay/psychics than graphical perfection
Do you agree?
