Good game especially considering our poor record in Russia. Robben is really irritating at times. He should retire from shooting and dish out more passes. Schuster should have a nice stern conversation with him about this. I can see animosity between players and him brewing up if he doesn't change his greed and poor choices.

not the best game by madrid, but a great result nonetheless, you guys have some good minutes in the first half, like in the betis game but then zenit started their game, you guys looked weak specially in the defense, pepe was working all alone cause cannavaro and heinze were just horrible..... and yeah van the man in acting like a throll ( the real person merengues should thank is the person who decided to bring him to madrid, period), but he is right in one thing van nistelrooy saved your asses once again, anyways good result, thought a tie would have been more fair from what a great game was display, but hey whats new.

it was everything i expected a tough away game but we knew that was going to happen.

RVN is in Real Madrid. part of the team. We win and lose as ateam. This was a team effort. And as everyone knows, RVN gets his goals (for the most part) off of good feeds. Perhaps if someone else was playing instead of Ruud, they might score too? Just maybe? I know it's hard to imagine, but a different player can score too Seriously! RVN isn't an independent entity! He is part of the team!

Maybe others have said this, not me. Messi like RVN are intrical parts of their respective teams and there's no denyng that we both look a bit different w/o them. Great players add that extra something. As for Messi, he is part of FCB. It's why they got him. Not like he or rvn are hired freelancers who come in to save the day! There's a reason why the directors get these types of players.

Anyway, RVN's job is to score! He'sthe target man. Just like Pepe, Cannavaro job is to defend, Casillas to block, Robben to draw defenders, dish passes, etc. RVN is doing his job! As for scoring, it's very balanced out. We got goals from almost everyone last year. And even this year, even heinze scored!

and yes, we are more dependant of messi than madrid will ever be of RVN, mainly cause messi is 10 times better than RVN, messi has a bigger weight on any team he plays, thats why its a sword of 2 edges, in one hand we are dependant of him but in the other it makes us the better team all around when he is their.... plus to be fair i think you guys are surely discounting the rest of the team and what pep will do if that day comes... for example this is the first time iniesta and xavi are playing together constanly and its showing some great results; hleb before he got injured was displaying some great stuff, we are getting him back soon so theirs a plus; busquests has come out of nowhere and becoming a big threat for our main midfield guys, guddy is tearing his heart out everygame now cause he wants a starting spot, and once etoo gets his momentum again theirs no stoping him.... so with this said, if eventually we do loose messi, we surely have the benefit of the doubt to overcome it, cause its a completely diferent season, we have some new players and got rid of some dead weight, and most importanly we have a new coach with diferent ideas.... soooo anything can happen.

More speed, technique, overall talent? I agree. But RVN's career so far is brilliant. He's succeeded in 3 leagues, won top goals corer in all 3 I believe and is still going strong at his age. He gets the job done w/o the flashiness. The end result is what matters. When they both retire, we can start looking at the numbers. although Messi is still young, he has alot of catching up to do. And in case you were wondering, we can score with all our midfielders. We're pretty well rounded and would/have done fine w/o RVN. And....we are better than Barca (current fact).
