Reconfigure your gamepad

hi all, this is how you remap your game pad in fifa 2004 and have the analogue sticks working fine.

Install the patch from EA.

click start ->run then type regedit.exe and click ok

Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, open SYSTEM, open ControlSet001, then Control, media properties, private properties, joystick, OEM.

view each folder (should look like VID_0428&PID etc) until you find the controller you have.

When you see you controller, double click where it says OEMName to the left of where its says the name of your controller, change it to "Gamepad Pro USB".

This fools fifa into thinking your controller is the logitech one.

Start fifa, click controller settings et voila!! You should be able to change keyboard to logitech controller then remap!!

Remember it's "Gamepad Pro USB" and not ''Logitech DualAction USB''. The latter causes problems with the right analogue stick.

Do you mean re-installing the controller after each restart?
Did you have that problem before doing the REGEDIT?

Your pad looks very cool. What's it called?

Nyko Air pad eh? Looks nice. I looked on the Nyko website and it doesn't support force feedback.

when you make the change, if you go file, then export and save to somewhere for eg the desktop, all you have to do is double click it and go yes to add it to the registry instead of doing it yourself. Then if you wanted to you could make windows start it when windows starts.

Its not a permanent solution but just makes it a shorter easier task.

Might seem evident but...

If you are not the administrator of the machine (or for that matter the account under which your gamepad was installed) you will need to make the same configuration changes to Control00x (make it to all of them if you are not sure).

Good way to tell is when the Control Panel Gamepad module shows the new name.

This may be obvious but I thought I would share...

Also on a Saitek 3000 you have to use ''Logitech DualAction USB'', the other option did not work for me.
