The Skoidats - punk/reggae/ska

The Skatalites - originators of ska - will see them live at the end of May

The Agents
Skavoovie - jazzy ska

Bob Marley :crazyboy: i quite like some of his music! Recently i setup a reggae forum at Pulsace (www.pulsace.co.uk) but unfortunately there's not really a great interest in it, doesn't seem nearly as popular as the other genre's

Youll get a kick outta this, bro. My X-girlfriend went to India (Dahrmsala) to see the Dali Lama with a small group. When she got there, alot of the monks at the monastary were singin'

"Woy-yo-yo......Woy-yo-yo-yo....etc"

Yeah, Bob's music was I-ternational!:crazyboy:

My Dad loves it and I can cruise along after skinning one up - my friend sent me a French Reggae/Ska Box set which I rather enjoy, got some really good tunes on it..

Yeah, they're doin cool stuff with Reggae in France. Its like matured into a poppy-not-quite-techno but electronic feel, huh? Not like roots Jamaican, which of course is awesome, Its more its own thing. Its fresh and pretty cool....it seems Reggae is more widely played there, but where is it not compared to the States?

The stuff I've had hasn't been to techno-ish, but yeh, reggae is listened to a fair bit in France, especially in the South. There seems to be a good community in Angers, which ain't too far from Paris IIRC. If you want to chat to a real reggae head in France, give me a PM. He can speak English fairly well.
