About the o.model: Can't you just highten the whole headshape at that part, so the front part of the hair (which looks perfect looking from the front) doesn't stick out too much looking from the side. I really don't know how to explain it, but Farkam tried it with his Romaldo and the hair model turned out well!!!

I (and many people) will use it even there'll be no chance to make the hairshape look more realistic, so don't feel under pressure...
