Removing icons over players heads

Hi,
I have bought the 2006 World Cup today and am pretty impressed; the last football game I had was FIFA96 and things have progressed quite a bit from there!
The one thing that really does annoy me is the little icons over the players heads; is it possible to remove these? I've had a good look through the printed matter, in the in-game menus and on the forums and cannot find any reference to these icons apart from one paragraph in the manual titled 'Contrl Highlights' which doesn't tell how to turn them off; is it possible to turn 'em off or edit them out?

And your going to know what player your using how? Some of the "little icons" are for star players as well. Apparently you need DB Master to edit the icons, and I have no idea where to get it.
