right about the match tonight. we had none of our top players playing tonight. they were all injured. for a top nation they would be able to put up a fight still, but we had unproven youngsters on the pitch.

Huntelaar was good, but the opposition was so under-strength it's unbelievable.

You can only beat what's in front of you .... and Huntelaar has scored against anyone at any level that has come accross him, and he can score all kinds of goals. He is most definitely a high class act!

ok i agree he has scored aginst everyone in holland no arguments there but he hasnt been on fire at the top level in club football, the champions league..look at the main team that are going to sign him,,,Pompey its not like all the huge clubs are afeter him like some other young fowards .For god sake will u open your eyes and relise that huntelaar isnt the best young talent around and certainly not the best at the moment thats all im saying yeah he has got potiental but to be honest he is 23 and only made his debut,,i dont think he will improve massivley look at players in his position like torres, villa, rooney, tevez, all i read here was huntelaar is maybe the best in the world :nape: no sorry that aint happening

Are you blind or something or just sick about the defeat :nape:
Huntelaar does what he does because he is worldclass, those were the words from van Basten tonight after the match. When he sees Huntelaar he sees himself when he was younger. Many ppl say that Huntelaar could well be the next van Basten. KJH is a guarantee for goals, everywhere, anywhere and anyplace why?? Because it's in his blood, not only scoring but also giving brilliant passes like that backheel last night to Robben :o
For god sake open YOUR EYES :jambo:

hopefully some Milan scouts saw him yesterday. but I guess filling both Sheva's and van Basten's boots at Milan not really something he dares do as of now :(

There's no denying it, he's a special player, but our own promising defender, Jonny Evans had him pretty much covered when we played Ajax. He's very one dimentional(kinda like Ruud), but what he does, he does pretty damn good. He'll look good in a United shirt. Maybe in a few years. :ewan:

Huntelaar got a lot to prove...scoring 2 goals against an understrength ireland doesnt make him world class. He's definitely an emerging talent though

And Van Basten did not take such a player on WC :nape: Surely he can be one of the best scorers in whole history of Holland National Team. :)

Okay guys once more Tevez, Phillips, you can take any example of a wasted talent. But all those players didn't have the right mentallity. Have to-ism, a cycling commentator called it here once, is not good for a sportsman, but Klaas can take it. He is so mentally strong and as someone said he's not 18 he is 23 already, so it's not like he's too young. He's world class already.

Oh and all the talk about 'he plays in a lower league so...' should also stop. He played for two shiitty teams last season still managed to pull off 33 league goals and he's proven himself aswell in the few matches he played in Europe.

Yes, he also did it last year against Inter in the CL, when he scored against them as well.
This year he scored in the 3rd round qualification matches for the CL away against Kopenhagen, when he scored both goals out of three small chances.
He is cool as ice in front of goal against any opposition and that makes him so special.
He is already better than Ruud van Nistelrooy (with all respect for Ruud).

in fairness, anyone with an ounce of talent could have ripped apart ireland last night. it was such a make-shift team it wasn't even funny. it is the weakest team we have put out in decades, and the result was no suprise.

huntelaar though is a great player and i am a big fan. he deserves the credit. he has worked hard to get where he is and will only improve. scores goals everywhere.
