Request for an Improved GK Patch

The GK's in FIFA 2006 are so dumb! :nape:

Even the so called Best Goalkeepers (Buffon, Casillas, Cech):

* They let go easy balls (balls that they should handle easily)
* They often take too much time to react to rebounds (it's pathetic!!!)
* They keep deflecting the shots to a dangerous area, where 80% of the time there's a rival player who obviously scores

So, those are very weak points of the game... and my friends use it often to get the better off me, bcoz i really don't like to score those pathetically easy goals... :boohoo:

Plz, can someone correct that problem for me... i'm getting very frustrated here! :f***: :(

Did you try one of the gameplay patches out there? Most of them will change the keepers from complete retards into slightly dumb, but way better than the original EA ones!

Hey Billy,

Can you list the changes you're gameplay mod has in relation to the original....ie a spreadsheet or excel file comparing the two. I want to learn more about what factors the mod changed etc.

I don't keep spreadsheets and such, I based my 06 mod on my 2005 one and that one is a lot different than standard 06 gameplay, it changes about everything, there's still room for improvement but these days I don't feel like editing a lot, still have to finish my SS Lazio sound pack and the two next ones, but I'm in a lazy mood atm :)

I've tried this and it improves the Gk's a little bit

Create a file in Notepad called "situation.ini", and place it in the main directory of the game. Add these values:

GK_REACTION_TIME_MAX = 0
GK_REACTION_TIME_MIN = 0 -----> Haven't tried negative values for these!

FLAMBOYANT_MAX_CATCH_SPEED = 0.00099
CONSERVATIVE_MAX_CATCH_SPEED = 0.00098

GK_SAVE_SPEED_SIDEWAYS_MAX = 99.999999
GK_SAVE_SPEED_SIDEWAYS_MIN = 99.999999
GK_SAVE_SPEED_UP_MAX = 99.999999
GK_SAVE_SPEED_UP_MIN = 99.999999
GK_SAVE_SPEED_DOWN_MAX = 99.999999
GK_SAVE_SPEED_DOWN_MIN = 99.999999
GK_SAVE_SPEED_MOVE_MAX = 99.999999
GK_SAVE_SPEED_MOVE_MIN = 99.999999

//how far ball is punched
GOALIE_CONSERVATIVE_DEFLECTION_SPEED = 2.82
GOALIE_FLAMBOYANT_DEFLECTION_SPEED = 2.85
GOALIE_BAD_DEFLECTION_SPEED = 2.80 -----> For more distant deflections; you can increase these even more!

I'll keep modifying these in my mod...
