You're correct - the Saudis played horribly, AND the Germans are a really good team that doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Well if you look back at Asian qualifying and Iran's amazing loss to Bhutan (influenced by the Mullah of that country) you'll see that the Saudi's place in the WC is a direct cause of that. But all in all they played like cow dung. As fas as Klose is concerned, good for him for the hat-trick, too bad he's a volksdeutch, and a sellout. So as a patriot, i dont have too much respect for the fellow.

Most of you are forgetting that the shear physical presence of the German Team had a huge influence on the outcome, the Saudis looked like a set of kids when you took note of a shoulder to shoulder match up, plus the fact that the German Team were technicaly better in every department, one funny and stupid thing that a Dick head here on Aussie Tv mentioned after the game was. 'The Saudi Coach must work on his defence in regard to clearing out the high balls - crosses,..' how the *f8k can you expect small defenders to suddenly be able to jump an extra two feet to get to a ball when it is beyond then anyway. Ah so much for the 'experts'.

I heard that Iran didn't qualify because the Iranian government pressured them to lose in the playoff..it brings Iran to close to western civilisation or something along thse lines..
