Hey guys,

Not to start a big thing or anything...BUT:

The tone of this conversation is ridiculous! As far as I can tell Rhapsody is receiving no compensation for what must have been an incredibly time consuming job. In other words, QUIT YOUR WHINING.

IF you choose to use his email address to "tell him how you feel" it had better be to thank him and maybe to politely make suggestions for future versions.

Alternately, you could get off your dead arse and make a better patch yourself.

Again, I don't mean to offend anyone here...but, are you listening to yourselves?

You're right USA Villa. I am grateful for the patch but I am whining though. I erased my e-mail thread when I realized what an a**hole I sounded like. Thanks for giving me a good smack on the head to set me straight:) I deserved it...

Point taken w/r/t the contradictory nature of those lines. To reconcile these sentiments: I guess I did mean to offend a little. It's just that, and I am paraphrasing myself here, the tone in this thread was just ridiculous.

Rhap goes and makes a great game imminently more playable and what happens? He gets complaints in here about the patch's shortcomings. Not even just "Gee, I wish it did this or that" but real indignant sounding stuff. Just retarded. Our italian friend doesn't owe us WE fiends a thing. Remember that.

Now if I whacked anyone on their heads a little harder than they deserved, I apologize. Especially to Bertkamp who, from his many posts, seems to be a stand up guy.

And by the way, that "I'm paraphrasing myself" crap is from a movie; I don't think I'm actually THAT pretentious.

Agreed, the only "problem" are the stats, and I'm sure there will be a fix, the rest is fine, it's not just about translating, the guy had to modify some code.

Just one thing to add here and I am not trying to start up anything else. But in the readme of the patch it says and I quote, "Please contact me for possible problems,questions,advices etc. also only your opinion
will be welcome." That was taken from the readme of the patch. So maybe people should let him know that if there is anyway he could fix the stats problems we would GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. Just a thought

I've said it quite a few times already, but the player abilities in the formations menu is almost impossible to translate, simply because it's an image (A graph) instead of the regular text. I'm just gonna quote Evilgab (Co-working with Rhapsody on the patch) from Gamefaqs:

The PLAYERS STATS AND THE FORMATION MENUES CAN NOT BE TRASLATED DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE NOT TEXT BUT ONLY A SINGLE BIG IMAGE!!!

Devil Ken Masters, the creator of the 70-80% patch said this:

The reason why Rh4psody didn't translate stats, formation, etc (well, I haven't seen his patch yet but you say it isn't translated) is possibly the same reason why I didn't and evilgab explained it 2 messages before: to translate the game they or I search Japanese strings (text phrases) and put them into english form. But stats, formation and someothers were not text phrases at all, because they're IMAGES containing that text. Obviously not BMP or any other simple format which you could load, modify and save. If they didn't translate it is because they haven't figured how to load, modify and save these images to change it's text. The same happened to me when I released my patch, and I haven't found (nor tried to found because lack of time) a way to do it.
So... I recommend people using his patch now. A lot of people enjoyed more this game thanks to my patch released some weeks ago, and I'm happy with that because I did it all alone and it was a hard work for me because it was also my first patch. Not having beta testers nor a team to work with left some bugs on my patch, so as I said if you enjoyed it then "update" to that more complete one and don't blame them that prefered working slower and acuratelly than satisfiying "patch hungry" people as I did :p

I REALLY don't know what the hell was wrong with me the other day when I made all those whiny a** posts about the patch. USA Villa is right in everything he said. I'm glad you straightened me out:) WE6 is a WHOLE LOT MORE playable with the 100% patch and I'm so grateful that Rh4psody blessed us with it.

On another note, it's nice to hear that I'm perceived as a stand up guy, so I'll quit all whiny sh*t and try to keep that image:) Anyways, thanks USA Villa, you're a pretty cool guy. AnaMorph0s|s, is a pretty cool cat as well.

Nothing like a little help from your friends!

First, don't get me wrong - the Rhapsody patch is excellent, and it obviously took a ton of hard work to offer such a great service to the gaming community - for that he is definitely the man.

But, this attribute thing bugs me a little. I only wish he could clarify the reasons for it not being translated - whether it was a glitch or if it is technically impossible. Maybe one of the other patch masters could find a solution if the latter. If it is a graphic, for instance, might it be possible to modify it in Photoshop and rebind it to the ISO?

Until then, it really shouldn't be called a 100% patch. He didn't call the WE5FE patch 100% and it was pretty much the same as the WE6 version, except it DID have attributes converted.

I've tried workarounds including a series of overlays for my screen, however you have to have a bunch of different ones since the attributes listed vary from section to section (i.e. the ML transfer screen and the substitution screen).

First off, i love Rhapsody for doing this 98% patch, BUT (there's always a but isn't there) - don't you think it might have been advisable for someone who's first language isn't english to get someone who's language is to grammar check what you're putting in? It's just me being pedantic, but 'INFORMATIONS' isn't actually a word, and it grates my cheese the more i see it. There's loads more, and if I can spot them, surely an english beta tester could have?

Maybe the only thing I would like to hear from Rh4psody's site is if it was a mistake or not (Like I said I think it is.)
But then again the WC did just begin, and if he's like me he doesn't really care about the other details right now.

I like the Italian patch more anyways. :D
