Well as most of you in the UK (and some in the USA and other parts of the world) might know of Ricky Gervais. His comedy the office is obviously the funniest show of all time (H), and i advise any of you that don't watch it, to watch it. His stand ups are nothing short of hilarious, and im sure im not the only one that finds him one of the funniest men alive. Now that The Office series is over, Ricky Gervais as took part in various projects, and his latest one is a show called Extra's. Ricky Gervais basically plays the part of a movie extra who believes he is better than what he actually is, and should be a big star (H). The comedy is a 6 part series set to include guest stars such as Samuel L Carlos*son, Kate Winslet, Ben Stiller, Les Dennis, Ross Kemp, and Patrick Stewart. With each episode obviously revolving around Ricky playing a extra in there movies. Well what does everyone think, will be looking forward to or watching it?

Peter Kay is also legendary, but in terms of show i think Ricky Gervais is better than Peter Kay. Peter Kay only comes close because of his stand up's (H)

Wow, excellent. Im sure with him and Merchant its gonna be a huge success and a riot. Those two, and especially Gervais are too damn talented not to be doing stuff all the time. I was glad, too, that Martin Freeman is now on the road to mainstream movie stardom. I have the second season on DVD, and a ripped version of the xmas special, but i could watch them over and frigging over again, and have, and laugh just as hard every time. I dont even know how to describe it, just like grounded, believable comedy that relies on the inevitablity of plot and a cast of pathetic and miserable characters that makes me feel better about my own dead end life. Definatey one of the best comedies ive ever seen, and though the american version is worlds away, but still funny itself, i wish there was just more than 12 episodes and a movie

In terms of shows, Steve Coogan conquers all. In terms of writing, Chris Morris is up there. Even if he has gone a bit... off it.

Shame Steve's a Hollywood whore, now.

Well truthfully for me it is, i can't think of any comedy show funnier, maybe i haven't lived long enough, but i think how The Office is done with a relation to how people really act and react in real life is too good, its an exaggerated story of reality and everybody finds themselves in similar situations in real life, so for a show to create them moments and make it into comedy is excellent in my opinion. I just find it too funny and as blueballa said i can watch it over and over again and keep laughing as hard as the first time. I dno, whats your funniest show Trod? :p

O yeah and for people that don't know, Ricky Gervais is also writing a episode of the simpsons, the first english person to ever do it, where "David Brent" visits Springfield and gets upto some trouble, i think that will be rather funny too.
