I enjoyed Zola's backheel more than that. or rooney's cracker against newcastle. Crouch's goal against galatasaray was excellent too. All of the before mentioned goals had skill. Van Persie's goal was more on luck than on skill.

I suprised no one has mentioned drogbas goal a couple weeks ago. To make a 180 turn and put the ball in the back of the net was impressive. But RvP goal was good too

Best goal I've seen for years, probably since Zola's for Chelsea in the FA cup match against Norwich years and years ago.

it wasn't as good as Rooney's -v- Newcastle, but it was an amazing goal. Not as lucky as some people make it out to be.

When you wanna talk about first time volleys goals, nothing beats Zidane's goal against Bayer Leverkusen in the ECL Final. The height and the velocity of the ball as it goes down to the ground after Carlos' cross, and without letting it bounce, he hit it with his weaker left foot so hard and right on the sweet spot to make it went it with power, speed and curve as well.

One of the best modern goal i've seen in the last couple of years is Ibrahimovic playing for Ajax in the Dutch League. I know it was ALOT of luck, but that's what makes goal so great... the ability to make it look really special.

I have seen hundreds of volley goals, hundreds of long distance goals, alot of amazing dribble goals, but this one is the one that had the most fake shots so there for it would be the best "fake shots" goal ever captured on video.

I have to admit I really like this goal alot, again because it's special, I was amazed when I saw the ball go in the net, his technique for hitting the volley was superb, and he did it in mid air!!

I have to say that one of the best volleys I know was the one from Marco van Basten against Russia in the finals of the EC88. A great pass from Arnold Muhren and van Basten who scored majesticly and made us European Champions. Man I will never forget that..we went Berzerk :p

Zidane is either footed BTW, but still it was a marvelous goal indeed.
Talking about the best goal ever it's that team goal from Carlos Alberto in the final of the WC 1970 by Brazil IMO.

Zlatans goal wasnt great IMO, just some HORRIBLE defending, looked like amateurs, jumping in, falling on the ground for no reason etc

Oh please. Maybe the defenders were a little desperate, but it takes some skill (in the matter of fact, a lot of it) to go on a dribbling spree like that and still make a fool out of the GK before scoring. Do you play football?

Yes I do as a matter of fact, im a centre back, and thats why im so harsh on them, because I know for a fact my team can even defend better than that, it was just horrid. But yes it still was good from zlatan.
