Well I don't see what will happen now to stop the contruction. They have a planned date for the demolition of the current one and once that happens, since they already have the money allocated, the new stadium will have to be built. I mean they have a design and construction firms lined up. I really think it will happen. Romania will have a 5 star stadium in 2010

Congrats on the qualifier you guys. Always had a lot of love for the Romania NT ever since I witnessed Hagi's total ness during USA 94, and it'll be good to see more of my Balkanese/Slavic brethren next summer.

Congrats to Romania for a fantastic game against Albania, our team really sucked against Belarus, losing it with 2-1 it was a shamefull display
But the important thing is that we qualified and so did your country
Romania is a real contender for the European title this time, good to see

Yup, our prediction of Romania and Holland qualifying together came to fruition. Who knows maybe we'll see each-other in the group stage or maybe even beyond

Well if we keep playing like this we won't even make the 2nd stage, this was the worst qualification ever, we have a scoring problem as funny as it may seems with guys like van Nistelrooy, Kuyt, van der Vaart, Seedorf and so on..
We have to do much better than this that's for sure or we don't deserve to go through to the 2nd round let alone the quarterfinals
An average of 1.2 goals per game really sucks so I'm counting on our boys to perform better. Romania passed this test with flying colors and your country deserves to be in first place in this poule.

But WTF happened to England??!! I was really stunned while watching the game just now. Croatia is a very strong team but England not qualifying is really a sad thing cause they belong there IMO.

Hopefully we'll see eich other but finishing second like we did is not a good thing because now we will have to face very strong countries who became first in their poule
It's a long way till Euro 2008 so I hope we'll get stronger in our friendlies.

He's the captain from FC Brasov and it seems that Ajax made a bid for him.
He plays in the 2nd Romanian division that's all I know, does anyone know him and if so can tell me what kind of player he is.

I have never heard of him. All I can tell you is that FC Brasov are the best side in the Romanian 2nd division and they are managed by Lucescu Jr. who took Rapid to the quarters of the UEFA Cup when Steaua made it to the semis a few years ago.

You know I think we are screwed...like FC Vaslui said, get the popcorn ready because we will watch the World Cup on TV (again)

We COULD have a chance with France, but Serbia....meh...Serbians are known for the fantastic and flowing football they play, except they never really cared about the World Cup during the finals....

But guys, let's not worry about that yet! We are in Euro 2008!!! WOOOO!!!

Jesus, is there one nation more pessimistic than Romania? You guys, how can you say we have no chance before the games even start. I think we can beat France and Serbia and finish first. As long as Piturca remains our coach after EURO 2008 we'll qualify for the WC, no doubt.

we will be together in group with: Portugal, Sweeden, Denmark, Hungary and Malta

Thank God for Malta. Albania will go 2-8 on those games. This is by far the hardest group in the qualifiers. I could see Sweden pulling an upset over Portugal they certainly have the talent and will.

As far as Romanias group go i don't see why they should not come up second at worst. The only team who is better than you guys is France. I certainly don't see Serbia at your level.

It's really hard group. You see, France will surely be first. I mean no one can imagine the previous world cup's finalist to go out or on play-offs, do they?

The competition for the second spot will be between Romania and Serbia.
The interesting thing is, Lietuva are getting better and better with every campaign. Last Euro2008 campaign, they won versus Ukraine 2-0 and outplayed them, made 1-1 with Italy in Rome, won away at Georgia.. They're definitely not the easiest outsider.
Austria is not that good, but they will be tough too.
I reckon the one who doesn't slip against those sides and manages to take a point off France, will clinch the second spot.
Since i suggest both games between you guys and Serbia will be draws or something. It would be very very hard to win in such an important ties. I even reckon the serbians might start in those games very defensively, which is not typical for them...
