How overweight is he? During the summer, there were some pics showing him more like Carlos Black than a professional athlete.

That man would never be a decent player again, seems to me that he has totally lost all of his motivation.

No reason why he can't be a "decent" player again. He shouldnt have let himself go that much if we wanted to come back but that's too late now. Credit to him for seemingly doing what he can to loose the weight. Hopefully there's still some golazos in him.

Hardly comparable, but I know first hand how hard it is to stay in shape after busting your knee :D

In all honesty, it's not surprising he lost his motivation. I mean after all the heavy injuries he suffered. Coming back from one and than the first match you play injure yourself again for a year or more. It wouldn't surprise me if he announces his retirement quite soon.

He's one of those guys that definatly have the talent to be a great player, but not the body to go with it.

i wouldn't be so sure if I was you

ronaldo is still 32 and I know lots of player who met their top at that age. romario - whom many considered was finished right after wc 94 - had one of his best times when he was 32 years. believe me, ronaldo can.

Romario never had 4 serious knee injuries. Doesn't matter if he's 22 or 32 than, Ronaldo's body is just wasted and therefore he won't ever be the same again. It's actually a miracle he managed to perform so well in between those injuries.

It's not just the lack of injuries, physically Romario is in ridiculous shape. I mean, to play professionally at 41 he had to be.

I'm glad Ronaldo didn't go to City. He wouldn't last in England with his knees.
