To sum up what's said above, the international Uruguayan forward, Ruben Sosa, 38 years old, announced in an interview with Uruguayan newspaper "La Republica" that he will retire from football. Sosa has had a career which has spanned over 20 years with terms at Lazio, Inter and Dortmund. Ruben Sosa's last club was Nacional de Montevideu last year.

Very few players, let alone attacking players, make it to 38 with the ability to keep playing at the top level. Sad to see him go. :(

yeah....he announced today 2 friendlies vs. Inter Milan and Lazio in the next few months.

(oh....and he "played".....but really about 5 minutes per season as he was just there to help the team out)
now hes helping DeLeon coach Nacional. Now thats a real player with passion for his team.

Ruben Sosa

That was Marcelo Sosa. He played for Danubio before moving to Russia a while ago... not sure to which club though...

Ruben Sosa's been playing for Nacional since 1998, but hasn't really been doing much since 2001.

He'll be working with Hugo De Leon as a coach.
