Well, there has been a lot of confusion and new leagues being started lately. This Forum was designed to keep all the Fantasy Leagues and Prediction Leagues away from the Soccer Forum. A lot of new leagues are being opened every day and sometimes somebody would open two leagues. With all this confusion and stuff going on, I have decided to make this thread. The mods of this forum will add and delete rules in this thread. There are three sections in this Rules thread. One section is what the owners of the leagues are supposed to follow, the other is for the participants in the leagues and the third one is a list of general rules that everybody is supposed to follow.
For the Owners of Prediction Leagues
- You can only own ONE prediction league.
- There should only be ONE PL for each league. The first one will be accepted , and the second one deleted, unles the first one isn't following any of the rules listed here.
- Try to keep your threads’ names the same for each matchday. For example, if you called your league on matchday 1 the following: “Italian Serie A PL – Day 1,” then call it the following for day 2: “Italian Serie A PL – Day 2.” Don’t change it to something like this: “Italian League Predictions – Week 2.” Keep it the same, except change the number. That gets rid of a lot of confusion.
- Have a wise point scoring system. We don’t care if it’s simple, as long as it isn’t stupid! Think about it twice before you enter your point sytem into a league. It is up to the mods to decide if the point system makes sense or is just plain crap.
- For leagues, don’t start a new PL when the season is already 2/3 in. The same goes for cups and other competitions. For example, it would be too late to start a prediction league for the EURO 2004 Qualifying Phase.
For the Participants in Prediction Leagues
- Don’t reply to a PL post just to say that the league sucks and you won’t participate. Nobody cares and if you aren’t going to participate then stay out of the thread.
General Rules
- There is a Forum called “Fantasy Soccer Leagues.” Don’t create a new thread advertising another Fantasy League. Reply to that post - it's a sticky.
- After a new thread has been opened for a brand new matchday, try not to reply to the old one anymore. We want it to go down the list so that the new threads are at the top.
This thread cannot be replied to, but when new rules come to our minds, we will add them into this post. We will keep track about the last time we edited this post and we will keep the new rules in Italics until other new ones come to our minds.
