Yeah you're absolutely spot on there. It's not the players' size that matters, it's how them are being used. Ramires chose to go downj the dog's route and if that's fine by his standards then he's a bum. Yay! Carlos*son? The guy must have sufffered a serious meltdown somewhere because you don't go from being an Atléti's 30m striker from being a small Ramires' servant... Ridiculoius.

But look, Ramires at least has already won the Champions League. He's won the Premier League multiple times. What else does he have to accomplish and how is he going to do it on Chelsea's bench? This is his last big paycheck.

Incidentally, the smartest thing to do to maximize that last big deal is to let your contract expire at age 29, then sign on a Bosman transfer with a massive sign-on fee for some huge club. Ballack knew.

That's how I see it. The value of playing in the best leagues, competing for meaningful trophies on the grand stage, being viewed by millions over the world week in week out instead of playing in some remote league where yeah you're making tons of money. You have to think it's doubtful they'll even get any more call-ups to their national teams.

You have to ask yourself, was Chinese coochie the decisive factor in these matters?

Carlos*son's won nothing of real importance at club level and so should want at least a CL shot and a big league title in his career, Ramires still could feature in more trophy winning sides and Brazil World Cup squads. Both should still be able to find a big payday somewhere at age 32, barring some horrible career destroying injury.

Me for example would take Arda over Özil any day.. Maybe they're not that comparable, but both play in similar positions. One is a lazy bum and another one proper player. Now you figure out which is which. (in my ghumble opinion)
