I guess money can't buy brains. Heskey?!!? And at that price to boot.

Yep, this is really overpriced. Heskey is a strong player, good in the air, but he doesn't possess the intelligence which is needed for an aging player (like top strikers Sheringham and Shearer). But who knows, in a team like Wigan, maybe he can get his second wind....

Heard this on the radio:

Carlos Salcido (Chivas, MEX) -----> Arsenal (ENG) -----> Celta Vigo (SPA) on loan

Similar situation to that of Carlos Vela.

Hendrik

Team Captain
Per Mertesacker (Hannover) to Bremen

It's definitely gonna happen in 2007, if both clubs agree on a transfer fee then already this summer.

Very weird if this happens. Klose + Klasnic + Valdez + ...Hugo Almeida?

I'm thinking 1 or 2 of those 3 should go out of WB
Valdez has been sold to Dortmund.

yup.
still is just a rumour, and I don't really want Porto to loan him and then give the other team the option to buy him at the end of the season.
he's a great prospect, just needs to put his game back together.

Ribery drops massive Arsenal hint

Written by Eu-Jinn Teh on Sunday, 9 July 2006

Prior to this evening's World Cup final, French midfielder Frank Ribery has dropped a hint about his future which will have caught the ears of the Arsenal hierarchy.

Ribery, when asked about his future plans, stated: "I would love to have a career like Zizou, it has taken him to the biggest clubs in the world."

Ribery himself has played for many clubs in his short career and may be thinking of playing abroad once again.

"I have only just started my career," he said. "It's true I've been with five clubs in five years. I was born in Boulogne, played for Ales, Brest, Metz then Galatasaray in Turkey and now I am with Olympique Marseille.

"I went to a foreign club too early and it was not the right environment for me."

However, Ribery soon dropped the hint which may indicate his imminent arrival at Ashburton Grove.

"I'd love to play for a big club in England - and nothing would be more ideal than to be with a French coach."

"But this is not the time to speak about my future. I have the World Cup and that is bigger than anything in my life right now."

So there you have it - can anybody out there name a big club in England with a French coach? I can think of at least one.

will be completed in the next days
I really hope so. The guy is one of the most industrious, even if not the most successful, in England. I hope he can take his game to the next level

Oswaldo Sanchez (Chivas, MEX) -----> Getafe (SPA)

He's supposedly on the verge of signing on with a Spanish team with Getafe being his rumored destination. Could become official as soon as tomorrow.
